Hi AcRyan Staff,

Good work for finally launching the GUI2.0 for DVRHD. We were waiting so long for getting the new FW.
First impression is good. Much better screenlayout, far more consistent (structure of menu's in latest FW was very messy and different at several levels, now its more the same) and YESSSS!!!! now we can even play MP3 when SPDIF is set to PASSTROUGH (which we of course use for DD and DTS) Glad you guys listened.

Now trying all other formats and features of the new GUI.
Have a little question:
- is it possible, to turn off the NIEUW TOEGEVOEGDE MUZIEK/FILMS? Because this slows the system down as hell!!

Thanks,

In the settings menu you have scanning on of or resume

And clear history on and off

Turn them both off

Any chance AC Ryan can bring back the Schedule Recordings link on the main menu? That is so much easier than going into DTV, then scrolling all the way down the menu.

Time bug: turn off the unit, turn it on, and the time is set to 4 months and 1 hour ahead.

When moving on youtube and I'll sign up I fill name and password which is normally used, and where under his account I saved video and song so I just throw the tv UNABLE_SERVICE and never see my collection of videos or songs

So far other than a nicer GUI nothing seems to be better & a lot of things seem to be worse! This is utterly ridiculous!

Hi dasjournal. I've loaded the new firmware also (and submitted a detailed bug report!). I see you are still having issues with the time setting. I used your technique of setting the time manually to see if there was any difference with my previous setting (auto DTV). As with the previous firmware I had to set my timezone one hour ahead to get the EPG to display and schedule record properly as we are in summertime in Ireland.
But I have had no clock time issues. I had the box switched off from the mains all last night and turned it on this morning and the time is correct. Maybe the battery in your unit is faulty and is reverting to some default time?

The fact that the EPG is now down to one day is a complete joke, though. I'm struggling with Mikael's statement that the firmware is in some way limited by licence to display only one day's data

Ok, there are a lot of easily notable bugs in the new firmware. Can someone tell me why A.C. Ryan is so brave to declare it directly as an official release? You can see how much bugs have been found by the users (testers...) directly after the release... I hope A.C. Ryan takes all the important reported bugs, solves them shortly and releases a real official release shortly!

Regards,

Nova

Hi all,

I was hopping that my first comment on new firmware is not going to be negative. Unfortunately, there are many things that needs to be fixed:
1. To start with the obvious one, one day EPG. A lot has been said so I am not going to repeat.
2. TimeShift does not work with USB drive. I did set Rec Device to USB under TV & REC but when I either press TimeShift on remote or in the MENU I just get (X) in the upper left hand corner and no recording at all.
3. There is no provision to save the location of INDEX file for Jukebox (as a shortcut).
4. When scrolling through the menus and reach the last item, the only way to the first one is to scroll all the way up. It would be much easier if it goes from last to first (loop). Same applies going from first to last item in the menu. You already have this feature in Files Manager/Browser, why not implement it in the menus.
5. No provision to add time before and after schedule recording to compensate for inaccurate EPG listing.
6. Did I mentioned one day EPG?
7. I am still to test the daylight saving function.

On the positive side:
1. Looks nice
2. Fixed stereo pass-through on HDMI
3. Schedule Recording page is very neat

I hope you will get those comments in a positive way and keep polishing new firmware.

I am sorry but after using the new firmware for a few days, there are so many problems that I am going back to the previous firmware.... I will wait till the more serious bugs are fixed.....

After waiting so long for the new release I am very disappointed...... agree the new interface looks nice and there is promise that when the bugs are fixed, this will be a great product.... but until that time I will will live with the old but better functioning firmware........ :( :( :(

Hi,

I think i will be switching back to the old firmware.
I don't have an LED or Plasma 16:9 TV just an old
one and the font size is so small that it is hard to figure out
what is written on the TV. Is it possible to change the size of
the font?

I still can't sort the channels in the order i want. and give them the
channel number i want. I still have to use this hack to sort my favorite order
http://emtec.mhdworld.com/modules/newbb ... ic_id=4660

The EPG issue is very bad for a device which called "DVR"

Unfortunately after the upgrade timeshift stopped working completely. Re-formatting the hard disk did not help the problem persisted. Downgrading the firmware solved the issue. Now unfortunately no gui 2.0 for me.
