Wow, the changelog is great! GUI 2.0, DLNA, Internet Media Services, and a lot of improvements. Now, I know why it took so long. :-) Please do smaller changes in the future firmware versions for shorter release cycles.

Is it possible to have a folder view by default under MOVIES (like in old gui - select folder, select movie)? I have more than 2000 movies, clips etc and having them listed all together is a pain.

GUI 2.0 is much nicer and user experience is much better, that needs to be said.

Thanks

Ok guys - thanks for the new GUI. Downloaded it earlier this afternoon and have been playing. First impressions:

Nice crisp interface. Much more suitable for HDTV display. Quite responsive. A little quirky in operation, just when I had got used to the old interface, you changed the navigation buttons! But, on the whole, a big improvement :)

I like the fact that my album cover jpegs are now displayed as thumbnails on the folders. I like the fact that the CUE sheets for FLAC files now work (almost!) - there's just a discrepancy of a couple of seconds between the actual start of a track from that contained in the CUE sheet. I'll annotate it properly in a bug report.

The DVR side of the UI is still not so good. I now don't seem to be able to access the EPG listing for a channel beyond the current day! None of the navigation buttons (or the menu button) seem to let me access beyond today. Although there is now a panel on the screen (and a prompt to use the GREEN button) for programme info, I do not see anything except the name of the programme and the scheduled time :( This is the same as the previous firmware. Also not fixed is the summertime setting for local time. I still have to use GMT+1 as in the previous firmware. If you schedule a programme to record and you happen to be listening or music or watching a movie at the scheduled time, the box switches to the DTV screen. It shouldn't need to interrupt your listening to do this - should record in the background. The old firmware used to do this also by interrupting you with a prompt.

I haven't looked at the network side yet, but I'd give it a cautious 8/10 in the hope that the DVR issues can be sorted reasonable quickly.

I am experiencing an SSL handshake failed error on facebook/twitter. What am I missing? Youtube did login, but gave another error clicking on my accountname.
However youtube Xl did not and gave the SSL error.

A little bug is that when i have a music file playing i cant stop it unless i am in the music menu. Can't do it from main menu.

I too cannot access any more of the EPG than rest of the day of the channel I'm watching. Pretty clunky.

And Player Web Management is not improved much. (Accessed via http://192.168.1.109:1024/index_pc.html). The remote is not replicated nicely as was the previous FW. And trying to add a schedule does not work (via TIMER RECORD, Schedules, Add Schedule (fill in form) and Add a new schedule) - just says Error: Date / Time Not Feasible. :x

I bought this product in order to set a recording via this interface (i.e. from work). False advertising AFAICS.

I'd be happy to be proven wrong (i.e. if someone has got this thing to work) - please tell me :o

One other thing I noticed whet setting up the clock (shouldn't have to again but OK it's a pretty major FW upgrade) was Melbourne +11 Sydney +10. Guys, we are in the the same TimeZone - maybe if yuo roll the globe over from Netherlands and have a look at the other side - Down Under, mate.

Keep up the good work LOL

I just upgraded to this new version, and found it to be quite laggy in comparison to the earlier one. Though the interface looks good on screen but the lag in navigation is killing all the fun.

negative experience with GUI 2.0 after 1 h of testing

- Doesn´t automatically adjust the time over DVT
- Doesn´t add a program with EPG
- EPG is seen only for one day
- browse the EPG is not another TV programs
- Unable to connect via a hidden WiFi (WPA2)
- Chaotic deleted files
