We are happy to announce our new official firmware.
Below you will find links to download this new firmware together with the change log and instructions on how to install this firmware. Please make sure you get the right firmware version for your product.

NOTE: We reuploaded a new version of r3966 on our homepage which fixes the reboot issue some of the older models (DA / DD) had. Please re-download the firmware again! (16.06.2011)

The flashing Procedures: We have 2x separate ways to flash your firmware. We strongly recommend you to use the ‘Safe-Mode method’ when it’s the first time you install this new firmware.

Safe-Mode method (*recommended!):
1. Download and extract the .zip file into the root folder of a USB-stick. Make sure the USB-stick is formatted to FAT32.
2. Insert the USB-stick to your player.
3. Shutdown the player.
4. Press and hold down the power button in front of the player for 15 seconds.
5. Your player will restart and install the new firmware.

System update method:
1. Download and extract the .zip file into the root folder of a USB-stick. Make sure the USB-stick is formatted to FAT32.
2. Insert the USB-stick to your player.
3. Go to Setup>Misc>USB Upgrade and press 'Enter' on your remote control to confirm.
4. Your player will restart and install the new firmware.

!!DO NOT POWER OFF THE UNIT WHILE FLASHING! THIS MIGHT CAUSE DAMAGE AND RESULT IN DEFECT HARDWARE!

4. Setup: how are you connected? Via AV Receiver / TV / Router / Switch / Wireless / Wired etc.
5. Operating System (optional): Windows 7 / XP / 2000, Linux (distro)
6. Description of problem: please write an understandable description of the problem so that we can reproduce / confirm this.

I'm so excited! We've been waiting for this for a long time, and now it's finally here.

Before I'm flashing my Playon!HD I want to know if it's safe to flash my device which still runs firmware version Firmware_PV73100_v7.06.r3615. I never flashed it before because I was waiting for the right firmware, and I believe this one is going to make me really happy.

Do I have to flash to another firmware first, of can I just flash to this one right away?

My 2TB internal drive is full of data. I hope this firmware does not mess with it. Is it going to ask for a HDD format? And if it is, is it necessary?

I Just tried to flash my PLAYON HD with this download and now I cannot get it to work. It says bootlog not recognised It says install original firmware. Anyone else had this happen? Trying now to flash with v.7.06.r3875 euro.

Can someone tell me why the option to use the PlayonHD as a NAS is now gone? I had to go back to the old firmware as there doesn't seem to be an option to use it as a NAS anymore.

I flashed it and it work fine so far......

Look beter the name is Samba for NAS.

is the gui different in this version compared to the last beta or is it the same gui just made faster?
