GUI 2.0 not too bad, it would seem. I'm glad you can change the background - the default will drive me crazy.

Kraakie,

thanks for your effort in showing us the FW. 12 minutes holding the camera up to your face with the ACR remote in the other hand is good work. Someone ought to shout you a tripod.

The now GUI looks pretty good. :D

Tell me - has the remote access via internet been addressed, I'm pretty sure a lot of people have found it not to work? That was the main reason I bought the 76120.

Good to see some momentum anyway.

Yes! This is what I expected instead of promises - to see that GUI 2.0 does really exist : ) and acryan works on it. Thanks kraakie for the presentation.

Now even the support for an external USB keyboard and mouse is added... I just hope everything will work smoothly like it is proposed (implemented). Already the current GUI would be ok if everything works ok. Good luck by the tests then so we could enjoy it soon.

Thanks for posting Kraakie - as said earlier, you could do with a tripod or an assistant :grinning:
I really wanted to see the DTV capability under the new GUI, though! Like, does it automatically start in DTV mode, without the menu overlay obscuring the TV picture? Does the EPG now display the programme information as well as the programme title? Can you view the EPG for other channels in the multiplex without having to switch the display to the other channel? I have HD TV available to me on the standard DVB-T system here in Ireland, unlike in the UK where they use DVB-T2 for HD, so I can test that if you want a volunteer! I have utilities to analyse and record DVB-T data streams if that would help.
For music, does the .CUE file now work for FLAC, so that we can select the exact track we want and not have to play the entire FLAC image file?

Post Re: New Beta Release for the Playon!DVR-HD ?
Hi all,

My first post here. I too am in Melbourne, Australia and was very excited to purchase this unit that looked so capable on the box. But now I am experiencing the same problems as many others. EPG recording does not work. Setting scheduled recording for time periods, eg 1hour or 2 hour doesn't even work. I contiually receive "failed" in the staus. Only way to record so far is push record button when have program on the screen. May as well watch it at the same time!!

Question is, is my machine faulty as was suggested in another post? Should i wait for this new firware release? or just get a refund??

I have tried setting the time manually and also using auto dtv, but nothing has changed (I am not connecting this unit to internet). ONEHD is one of my favourite stations and I set to record basketball after midnight. It's frustrating to wake in the morning and find I have recorded nothing!! Damn!!

Thanks for listening

Hi!
Anybody knows how can I activate the italics and the bolds for the subtitles on
A.C RYAN PV76120?
Since I use it ONLY as a Media Player (because the recording is a big trouble),
I'd like too watch my movies properly.
Thanks!
(Hope never dies)

So... again, does the gui2 solve the i and b issues?

Set your timezone to GMT+10. Manually set the time. Auto DTV does not function correctly in Australia - this is not due to AC Ryan.

Set your recordings up manually. Leave the unit turned on. After scheduling your recording(s), make sure that the root/home menu is left on screen. ONE.HD and ABC24 are two channels that require this procedure.
