You can reboot your Ac Ryan thru a Telnet sesion.

Login on your Ac Ryan using telnet

open a dosprompt and type telnet [ipnr ryan] or use putty (google for it)

Login with root without a password

use the following commands

/sbin/reboot

Post Re: [HOW TO] Reboot or shutdown remote using Telnet
Hi Kraakie

I can only reboot the system.

When I /sbin/poweroff the OS halts. Power is then still on, the drive is still spinning and the blue lights stay on. The system doesn't respond anymore to any commands from the remote or the powerbutton (because the OS is no longer running) The only option to restart it is to pull the powercord....

You can start putty on the commandline, just type putty -telnet <IP or network name Playon!HD>.

Regards,
ronald68

does not work with PLAYON!DVR.
Upon telnet <ip addr>, prompt showed: "Probits login:"
enter "root" password <empty> returnes "Login incorrect".
Anybody has the right password ?

Hi 7elephant,

I'm checking with Dev team on that issue. Will get back here for that PV75100 telnet login...

Any chance it will be supported or defintely cannot be supported?

Wake on Lan is not possible as the NAS function on PV73100 is just a simple version compared with delicate NAS.
