Doesn't quite answer the question as I have a firmware version not listed "officially". There may be very little difference between my version and the latest release. On the other hand, it may be essentially the same as as the previous "official" release.

Perhaps I'll just wait and see the next version!

Are you certain it is the Mini 2 and not just the Mini? The reason I ask is because I know that others have modified software to work with the first Mini as they got fed up with waiting for Ryan to take notice of them and produce software with the features they wanted. I am not aware of any modified software for the Mini2 yet though

If you are referring to my posting above with regard to r2886, then I am certain it is a HD Mini 2 from the model No. and the fact it has a Quick Install guide inside the box for the same model. Maybe AC Ryan bung the latest release number into the players as they are finished even though they are not "official"

Hi Dave, hmmm interesting, only I saw another person post a while ago saying the software he had in his Mini2 didn't corespond with any of the numbers of the Ryan software either, So I wonder what this software is?

The factory pre-installed firmware versions have not been published on the AC Ryan website, not only for the Mini2, but also for the older models.

Normally the highest release number for the same SDK platform. There may be many months between the production of the chipset by Realtek, the assembly of the device by AC Ryan or a subcontractor and the final delivery to the client.
