I know this is not a an open source project, but the methods used by many OS projects which expose the known and reported bugs via on online system such as Bugzilla or Jira, are tried and proven to improve the quality of information and reduce the management load on the development and testing process.
I appreciate you may not want a public airing of a long bug list, but it is not at all hard to get this picture from several fora/forums, and you may well do better to adopt this proven method which is used by other non OS proprietary software houses.
Your consideration of this would be appreciated
Warren We will put up a list with confirmed bugs in the initial thread of this post. We already received a couple of bug reports from you guys and we have confirmed some and a list is being made for this. When its done you can see in the top post which bugs are there and confirmed by us. NOTE: please do not send technical questions to that email. as its clearly stated its a bugtracker and you will not receive help for technical issues or problems. Therefore keep sending emails to our support mail which you can find on our homepage: http://www.acryan.com/web/support/Also please try to think if it is a bug you are facing or a compatibility issue with some file formats or your network setup. For example "there is no option to default put subtitles on" this is not a bug. It's how the player and the firmware works. "Player reboots when i stop a movie after starting it from folder level" This is a bug. Arne, Moving forward this would be really helpful, it helps others to know what's going on behind the development side of things and stops people from posting/emailing the same issues over and over again. Last firmware I was having trouble with connecting up to the pc via USB as I was getting Windows scanning, which was sorted after we all worked out that we had to connect the HD2 up while powered off and then powering up to get into storage mode to stop the windows scanning error.
Now with the latest firmware I've just been able to connect via USB to transfer files over and its started to ask to scan again and this time it was with the unit powered OFF while connecting the cable, then powering up when its all connected.

From what I've read above, the scan issue is still there in some way. Simply turn off the scanning option completely for now until the bug is resolved.

Re: [Official] Firmware Release PV73700 v9.5.3.r2988 PlayON!HD2 Just found this and not sure if its just a temporary glitch but my screen saver is set to two minutes, it does come on but randomly goes back to the main screen, it does sometimes go back again but it still cancelled itself a few minutes later.
Also noticed this and think I or someone else has reported this but if you disturb the screensaver or if it comes out of it on its own, the tags info disappears and it tries to refresh for some reason? but does not manage it! It all goes blank and no tags or album art reappear until the next track starts! Very annoying!

Ad Because there is know bug list avalible yet, this are my major bugs: My problem with the new firmware is spontanios lost HDMI settings with startup standard 480i 60 I'have a pal 1080P LCD. Its not posible to chose these settings without removing te power from the system. Somtimes no sound trouch HDMI output. (also veryslow menu interface) Johan

I am using POHD2. I have just upgraded the firmware to r2988. After upgrading, it cant detect my HDD and advise that I format it.
There is a lot of movies in there. Can you kindly advise what can be done to make it recoginize the HDD again without formatting.
I tried to pull out the HDD but unsuccessful and there is no instruction on how to remove the HDD.. is there any eject button?
