Post BIG PROBLEM
Sup gents,

I have sold about 20 of the essential media players and now they are returning rapidly.
I have samsung 2tb harddrives installed in the media players and formatted them through windows 7.

I then put 2tb's of media on them and then access it through file manager.
The problem I have is if I don't select media fast enough once on the tv, the player resets.
Sometimes it just restarts when I click on a movie.

Am I doing something horribly wrong?
I am getting frustrated with the calls from my clients and need to find out how to fix the issues.

Thanks peoples, really appreciate the help.

Why didnt you format the hdd through the mediaplayer?
Anyway, it maybe wont be any different.

Have they all the newest firmware ??
Update through the menu.
After that, I use to update with safe-mode once again.

Many devices came with loose cable connection to the hdd.
Just open the case and plug it it harder.

Hi woola .. something, long name :P

Just update the device with the latest firmware and all the problems that you describe should be gone.

Latest firmwares here

Install using the safe mode procedure, as the normal flashing mode is a bit faulty and i assume they will get that fixed in the, to-come-firmware.

Safe-mode flashing procedure:
1. Copy install.img to the root directory of a USB flash drive and connect it to any USB host port of the
unit.
2. Switch off the main power to the unit.
3. Press and hold on to the power button on the front panel of the unit.
4. Switch on the main power.
5. Release the power button when the firmware update starts flashing on your display in a moment and
will automatically reboot when update is completed.

**Do not power off the unit during the flashing process!**
