Don't get me wrong. I do appreciate the effort, what I don't appreciate is incorrect information... that's all

advertising with a firmware (on the mini v1 version) with a firmware that is not nearly finished... that's incorrect.
advertising that you have a one of the most active firmware development team, regularly releasing firmware updates with new and unique features (even on old models, credits for that), you are right about the fact that you release new firmware with unique features, but 5 months for a beta... doubtfull (simply don't know if you're one o the most active)
Stating that the same firmware will be released in december (2010 that is)...that's incorrect.
releasing a beta firmware with bugs...not a problem (it's beta I know)
Saying you will release a firmware (not beta) in the near future... no problem.
Saying it will be ready in 3 weeks and taking 5...(and releasing a beta) painfull but still appreciated
Saying it will be done when it's done... no problem

I already noticed AcRyan learned. We haven't had an update on this topic for a while

But for the record... That's my opinion.

I have revert back to V4824. New Gui2.0 is utterly slow and reading the HDD it is taking long time. so I decided to go back to 4824. Once the bug free update will release, then I will upgrade.

Yeah, and 1. I want blu-ray disk menu support, not just going straight to the movie.
2. The ability to create shortcuts to certain places (including network shortcuts) in the main menu so that I don't have to press OK 5 times.
3. That slow indexing in the main menu is gay.
4. There are some random files in the bottom part of the main menu. I would expect last accessed files and folders to be a reasonable choice.
Otherwise everything else is good.

P.S. I'm wishing I could create custom builds of the firmware to adjust it to one's liking. Don't know even if it is possible. Doesn't have anything to do with ACRayan directly, though.

I hope they get it sorted however not sure they will. My Daughter has just purchased the new mini2, i popped around the weekend to have a look. They have the original and purchased this as an upgrade. My son in law was trying the new unit and to be honest i watched him trying different things on the new box, he was not very impressed at all and was not happy he had wasted £80 on something that was slower than the original one he owned. I shall not buy the new mini 2 as it is poor and i can,t believe the new gui 2 will be much improved on the old box as it is slow even on the new one.

I'm happy ac ryan always keep update the firmware, however i have the following comment for this firmware:

1. Some of my iso file can't be play with 2115 firmware, previously 4824 firmware could play this file.........
2. New display will be good for lcd tv ......however bad (font menu not clear) for CRT tv.
3. Verry slow compared to 4824 firmware.
4. Name of of Hard drive not shown.
5. Display skipping and right arrow for movie skip (not fast forward) worse compared to 4824.

So...I go back to 4824 firmware.
I hope ac ryan could give better update for next firmware.

I don't care about GUI any longer.

I am happy with the old one. Just fix the bugs/basic features. Simple things such as:
* One has to switch between passthrough and LPCM depending on 5.1 source type in order to send 5.1 to reciever. Clearly a bug.
* I don't want to do 10 "clicks" every time just to come to the basic network share. Clearly a wanted feature. How hard can it be?
* Etc..

Removing bugs should come first. A nice GUI is a plus, but worth little is basic things is not there.
