Yes I read it - but as with almost everyone here - it'd be nice if there was an update from a developer rather than just hearsay.

Acknowledging there is a speed issue, and actually doing something about it are two very different things.

I know, hence the second question. Ryan is telling us they are working om it. You (and many with you) seem to to think that that is merely words than deeds...
So (again) the question: don't you believe what is said in the first post about working on it?

It's been long over a month now since the first post of this topic.
I hope there has been some nice progress.

Heads up for the developers!

I am waiting for that update......... In three weeks we will have moved and I promised my girlfriend everything would be working by then, otherwise my AC Ryan is not allowed in either living- or bedroom, forcing me to the attic to watch my movies and listen to my music....
She really hates equipment in the livingroom and hates it even more if the stuff does not work as fast and simple as she expects........
So far the interface of the AC Ryan has been approved except for the speed and the lack of shortcuts....

She wants Youtube and direct access to certain folders and playlists....

I am getting worried.... I have a wonderful screen and wonderful sound in the livingroom, but I am really worried.... On the attic I have only my computerscreen and two 15watt speakers...................................

Be honest with me; am I doomed? FUBAR?

Well, i'm giving up. No, not on the Mini, but waiting for a better beta of this SDK4-release.
I've reverted back to the 4824.

For the staff and developers, my thoughts on the r2115:
It's beautiful, but a bit sluggish. Also, streaming from the network should be the first purpose, not "oh yeah, that's also a possibility".
And:
- still missing the "not viewed/total"-count in the folder-description;
- when i delete a media-file i want the corresponding .srt to be deleted also;
- too much confirmation and clicks needed to delete a file;
- mixed dutch/english when set to "dutch";
- not remembering subtitle-preferences (main reason to switch back fw);
- and more. I'm happy to assist the developers in making a good firmware, dm me
- lots of clicks neccesary to get to network-files. In 4824 it's at least one click less (also too much);
- no caching of folder-images, therefor the images i've put in tv-series-folders are always behind when scrolling through the folder containing the series-folders (do you understand this?);
- very slow and inaccurate indexing of files, and for network-files only via a 'hack';
- and there is more, but you know of all of them i guess?

Please, please, please, listen to your customers. You live of them, so you should listen and act to their commentaries. The development is too slow, or release a beta(!) every week. We will test the fw for free

Don't forget: the mini is all about the network!

Do know that i bought this system on a message on the website that stated that a new gui 2.0 version would be released before end of december 2010. I understand that there can be a delay, but it is now April 12th and we only have a Beta and no idea of a RC or maybe a final. Now again I see information that is not (yet?) accurate. or am I wrong?

Maybe it should be released first before you advertise?

Maybe you should do your own bit of research before uttering useless crap on a public forum?
