Next release will have it resolved (hopefully). I reverted back to the 4824 build for this and other reasons.

All I want to do is plug a drive and be able to play my video files from it. I can understand more complicated function with network involved and such can be buggy but come on! keep the basic simple and working! Lot has been said already so I just want to add a couple things.
Not everyone use the latest TV screen (I live in Vietnam in a rented flat) so with a CRT TV a lot of the different infos are totally unreadable (because of color, font size, location in the screen).
When I used to add a movie it was simple: plug in a flash drive and move the files involved to my permanent drive using the file manager. Unfortunately this function in now limited as the file manager only recognized “media” files. So how do I transfer .srt files or other type of subtitle files from drive C to drive D? was it not easier when one could have the option to see everything in the drive and choose what he/she wants to copy/move/delete/rename?
Please ACRyan after 6 months of using your product I’m ready to give up….

Please ACRyan after 6 months of using your product I’m ready to give up…. It's cheap - if you wanted better support, firmware, you'd have bought a popcorn. The WD live is also good. The playon-mini has so much more potential - have some patience.

ACryan seems to have lost interest in developing for the 1st gen-players.
They said that the new FW was only a matter of porting after release of the 2nd gen-players.
It' s been months now, and there seems to be little effort, or at least little progress making it happen.
Not to complain, just stating my opinion: Users, quit wining about the FW release. It' s not gonna change anything. Accept that your stuck with what you' ve got. And when time comes to buy something new, remember... I know I will
