today i got my playonhd2.
there's everything fine, almost.
the player recognizes the pc if i go to UPnP and then i can play *.wmv files but
no *.mkv file.
i bought the player for watching my mkv files and now i can't.
how can i fix this ?

Re: [HOW TO] Share Folders on Windows 7 with youtube tutorial Same problem here. My new HD Mini2 cannot play .mkv files. The old HD Mini1 has no issue.
Not sure if this is a known problem waiting for a firmware fix?!
OR the unit I have is broken?
Anyone can share your thought? That will help me to decide to return the unit back to the store or service centre.

Problem was with my AV. The AV I was using was Avast 6.
Un-installed and rebooted. All files visible now.
No Reg Tweak required for this fix...
AVG 2011 free appears to behave itself with this issue...

I run a playonhdmini2 on my network, i run it through my modem (which it also a router).
I tried everything myself to connect my computer (it worked 2 days ago.. and then just stopped) but then i tried this guide, i did everything, even the change in regedit.
Now it still won't work, it can't even find my 2 computers which are on the workgroup "Lan", the first computer is connected directly to the modem, but my main computer is connected to a switch and then to the modem router, so now.. what the hell should i do to make it work?
Now i can't even find them :S but before i had problems with the password and so on, so what's going on?
Please help!

Open a dosprompt and type ping ipnumber pohd [enter]
