Post Side-By-Side Comparison of POHD, POHD2 and FLUXX
I know the obvious difference between POHD DVR, POHD and POHD MINI, but I am not shure what exactly, the extra I am getting in FLUXX for the extra money paying.

I request AC Ryan to post a Side-By-Side Comparison of Extra Features and Performance Boost between POHD, POHD2 and FLUXX.

Please list Only the Differences and Not the Commons to keep the list short.

I think this will be helpful to decide the right model, that is needed.

Thank You in advance.

NB: Readers, If you too want this Vital Information, Please post your views in this topic to impress the AC RYAN to highlight the differences.

Seems to me that the difference between the POHD and the POHD2 is slight. The splurge says "the latest Realtek processor" but no specs. Gigabit LAN and USB3 seem to be the only real improvements.

The FLUXX looks to me like a netbook without keyboard and screen from the specs. I reckon the FLUXX is a mini HTPC. It doesn't have USB3 though... Not sure if that is any great loss at the moment. It has usb keyboard and mouse support so this unit be could ripe for "tweaking". Makes me wonder about installing different operating systems.

There is the price consideration though. Complete pc's with far more versatility are available for less than £300.

Example: http://www.aceroutlet.com/PRD_ProductDe ... fAodYH34dg

How much will this FLUXX cost?

The FLUXX has a HDMI in socket. Is it a passthrough? Is there upscaling? What is it's purpose?

Just my thoughts and comments.

Cheers.

A.V.

I am looking for something similar myself.

A side by side compare of the FLUXX and Playon!HD2 - both look amazing and I understand one has the Intel chip and the other the Realtek but a side by side compare would help make my decision easier.

Also, there is no information on the DIMENSIONS of these devices. The mini's are obviously more portable but a listing of the dimensions would be nice to see.

The Fluxx will play old WMV and RM files, no other mediaplayer can do that. I guess the Fluxx is more software based, so you can add codecs and the Fluxx will play files for that codec. Mediaplayers with a Realtek or Sigma chip rely more on the hardware MPEG decoding of these chips and are less flexible or adaptable.
