Post Re: Testing on a new firmware now. Teaser inside...
First of all, it's good to see that people have been working hard on improving the product. Actually, I think it's not improving but expanding. Improving side features (like BT) and ignoring the most important: normal use of the device.

How can it be that I can't skip to the next audiotrack if I'm listening to audiotracks from the media browser?? Why must I manually navigate through 850 radiostations to listen to my favorite webradio station? How come there's only five or so maps on one screen in the browser, that's not very usefull when one has hundreds of albums to pick from.

Or that I still can't connect to my laptop from the browser?

Please keep continuing the hard work, but don't forget the basics. At this time the player is horrible in navigation through the files and that's a thing that can be changed. I think it deserves high priority.

What about HD audio passthrough?

Yes, the new raw development kit we've received has been tested working for DTS HD MA pass through. Dolby TrueHD wasn't ready and included in this development kit yet. We will have this new kit tested further before migrating to our own firmware. I'll update on this soon.

These things like you've mentioned about skipping to the next audiotrack and navigating internet radio, we already have plans to improve on it. Most probably we will do up with a audio playback interface and also a sorting method for internet radio by countries or by keying in your own radio station on a host server, so that not only you but the rest of the users can enjoy the same station from your contribution. Give us time to add all these. ;)

As for network connectivity, you may want to seek further assistance by emailing to us via tech@acryan.com? We would be better to provide you with answers this way. Or if you already have the necessary Guest account and NetBIOS over TCP/IP enabled on your PC and all shares have been done up correctly and still unable to see your network name in the Playon!HD, you may want to add a shortcut by providing the IP Address of your PC to the Playon!HD? This way the Playon!HD can gain direct access to your PC without going through the usual routing method which can be rather difficult at times across multi platforms.

Navigation has never been easy to handle even for a delicated NAS storage device with huge amount of data, but it can be simplified by managing your own data with folders and using our Media Library function to index your files, so that you can search for them as and when required.

Thank you for all these valuable feedbacks, we will definitely seek ways within feedbacks to improve on the Playon!HD. ;)

It's not about supporting Windows 7 or any other version of Windows in the firmware, but it appears that at times Windows workgroup is not being broadcast to non-Windows clients like in this case, our Playon!HD. That's why sometimes you get to see it and sometimes you doesn't. Of course, the easiest way is to add that Windows PC IP Address to the "My Shortcuts" within your Playon!HD network. You'll get access to your shares everytime. :)

A guide for that surely great feature would be superb because I can't get it to work.

Yes, the YouTube, Picasa and News Feeds will be included. However, we are going to release these features as a beta version, which we hope to gather feedbacks from users on any bugs they may find with these additions. ;)

Sorry to say, the Media Library function will only work with internal HDD, are you already using with an internal HDD with your Playon!HD?
