+1 need that indeed.

And make also a custom start up default where we can choose for example the file browser or the movie wall or shoutcast as default startup when the unit boots. that way "every time" you get connected to your prefed "item" instead of clicking your *** off

despite all the bug reports and rants.. i am installing it now..

first findings:
- nice interface
- ui not consistent (functions on buttons vary)
- connects to network and disconnects after few seconds ...

Well, this is actually first version of firmware since 4312 that plays all my files without problems. And yes, that includes .iso and .mkv files.
I'm also surprised to see negative comments about fast search function. It works great here, I'd even say faster than with any other firmware.

That being said, it's still very buggy. Lot of it is already said: slugishness, invisible folders showing, not remembering subtitles option, thumbgen thumbnails instead of folder.jpg and so on.
Also, there seems to be missing GOTO function for browsing pages. For instance, if I want to go on page 500 in some folder I have to push the button 50 times. Before I simply entered 500 on remote.

lan-speed isnt that fast, but its good for beta. interface looks great. no problems to play all my vids...

i too have noticed significant drops in lan speed.

Did some testing and found that full HD streams seem to lag were i never had this in earlier builds.
Since the buglist has disappeared here's my findings. Just the things i think are vital and missing our not fully functional in .r2115:

should be fixed in future rls or revert
- network performance seems to have dropped, effecting HD streams fluincy
- screensaver doesn't kick in when movie set on pause
- FFWD / RWD functionality ('bar-style' instead of just tiny jerky steps).
- no default settings for subs and subsizes


would-be-nice things. If not it won't make me throw the box out, though
- efficient menu structure for network use (don't need the movies/music menu, at least not at the top of the menu).
- (still) no decent music playing functionality (again, no biggy for me)
- speedup responsiveness (menu's / compression)

No need to flame , still happily streaming here and i like the remake

After the update i find a big problem !
My mini can't read all the partitions of my usb hard disk ( with the old firmware i have no problem ).
It can see just the first partition ( for example f:/ )
so i have to go to the last firmware to watch my movies

Good work, a little buggy, but at least we have a new firmware. Love the new GUI.

Hallo heb ook mijn mine geupdate. eerst liep alles lekker en ziet er mooi uit. youtube echt een + heb kleine kinderen tsjoe tsjoe wa kijken haha.
Nu echter reageerd de afstands bediening steeds slechter. gisteren begon het vandaag reageerd hij helemaal niet meer. Gisteren begon het toen hij niet meer op alle knoppen reageerde ik balen. hem een paar keer uit en aan gedaan toen deed hij het weer. Nu vandaag wil hij dus helemaal niet meer op de afstandsbediening reageren. Heb ook al geprobeerd de software er opnieuw erop te zetten dit is gelukt zegt hij maar reageerd nog steeds niet op de afstands bediening. kan hem wel aan zetten met de knop start ook netjes op maar ja dan...... kan je er niks meer mee. iemand een idee? andere firmware proberen????

Bugreport:

- When playing a playlist over UPnP, the UI shows the tracks sorted from A-Z.
However, it plays the list in its original order, resulting in ID3 tags in the currentplaying part and the list part that are not corresponding with the actual tracks!

- When playing over DLNA DMR (tracks from win7 pc), the POHD crashes 50% of the times when a track finishes and the next should start playing

What actually a lot of people (with the relatively old Mini) would need is to have the latest SDK3.0 firmware updated with the following:

• In list mode eleminate the squares which in preview mode display details
• Most important change would be the music files to start playing from the beginning, not skipping the first 3 seconds of the song.

If we can have this minor changes we can consider this the LITE version since the new SDK4.0 is way to slow for my mini (6 months old!)

I just need my player to play everything I want from my USB HDD's, that's it...........

the subtitle feature in the new SDK looks also great so that would be a nice to have, most annoying now is the music not playing from the beginning...
