 Re: (Android) POHD Remote
Whaaah! In the sdk 2 & 3 firmware versions, I couldn't get it to work with the POHD mini, because I couldn't (easily) get infosite installed in r4824 etc... Just installed the new r2115 sdk 4 firmware and your latest POHD Remote apk on my HD2 and guess what... IT WORKS WITH THE MINI!!! Straight out of the box!!! No adjustments or installs(besides the apk) necessary or whatso ever (So far only tested basic functions like on/off and arrows) +100!!! thanks!!!

 Re: (Android) POHD Remote
Good work! Working on mini with r2115 SDK 4 firmware and Nexus One Would love support for high res/density screens Also, maybe the slow button added (for thumbview compatibility)

 Re: (Android) POHD Remote
I must admit i didn't spend a lot of time on this project, but with the release of the new firmware i'm interested to see what i can do with the firmware. The firmware looks great and would like to test the new stuff like dlna dmr, i'll start working on the app again and see if i can make it a useful app with the new firmware. And of course thanks for the interest and feedback.

 Re: (Android) POHD Remote
I've just tried this on my Mini and it's working like a charm. I installed it on a HTC Desire HD and have the new GUI2.0 on the Mini.
In fact, remote control via my phone is more responsive and seems faster than via the physical remote control itself. Excellent app.
But... with a little more work it could be absolutely killer. The new GUI means that it's essential to also include the green >>| and |<< buttons in order to use the Setup area via the Android remote app. The 'Stop' button would also be useful. 'Goto' would then make it pretty much a complete replacement for the physical remote.
Thanks for your work on this so far, insomnia. I really hope you continue the with the development as this is a seriously nice Android app.

 Re: (Android) POHD Remote
thanks insomnia, it works great, i finally also find that WOL would be great as well i really hope you are able to implement some more buttons, and if you need me for testing just let me know, i certainly would like to test this further for you. one issue however (maybe someone mentioned it already?) but it does not show the right info of my internal HDD on the player(s) (the ones i tested) for my 1,5TB it sees it as an 500GB drive. the search for the movies works also very great (thanks for this nice feature)

ceeram wrote: I tried 0.854 BETA on my HTC Desire Android 2.2, i entered IP manually, but it gives me a connection error. Do i need to install something on the POHD? (v7.0.6 r4318)
i can reach the POHD on the same IP with Infosite and nzbget webinterface, so im sure its the correct address and it responds on that IP.
And ofcourse a big thank you for your effort on this. I tried the latest beta, and the 0.6. neither work. giving the samen error shown in the quote. Im using the Playonx firmware. I think its port 1024 that is being blocked. entering my 192.xxx.xxx.xxx:80 works fine Really doubt its my router thats blocking it..
