======================================================================

ATTENTION! THIS FIRMWARE IS INTENDED FOR THE PLAYON!HD MINI2 ONLY!

DO NOT, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE, INSTALL THIS FIRMWARE ON ANY OTHER PLAYER!.
You might risk damage to the hardware or a bricked player if it is installed on any other player besides the Playon!HD2!

======================================================================

Here is the initial firmware for the Playon!HD Mini2, v9.5.3.r1731

Download the firmware here => Firmware_PV73800_v9.5.5.r1731.zip
https://mega.co.nz/#!iRU0zDhI!RvFriVTfk ... zyHyVyEW44

How to Update Firmware

* 2. Insert the USB-stick to your player.
* 3. Go to Setup>System>System update and press 'Enter' on your remote control.
* 4. Your player will restart and install the new firmware.

Hi Mikael,

Thanks a lot - really.

You just saved the day.

Everything works like a charm after flashing the original firmware from the link you supplied, and the Mini2 is up and running.

Now, I'll enjoy finding my NAS.

IOU a pint someday.

Cheers

I don't have any media streamer (looking at HD Mini2 at the mo), my question is if this is not an update what is the point in installing the firmware which by what you say is the same and offers no improvement. Is this for anyone who is experiencing difficulties with their HD Mini2? I ask coz I want to get one but not sure if I will need to reapply the firmware. :think:

I have installed the firmware r1731 on my HD MINI 2. It seems to work great when it stands on the TV "installation complet". When I'm turn off the MINI by using the power button it wouldn't start. On the TV it the logo of the MINI in about 2-3 seconds, then the TV screens turns black, then the logo for 2-3 seconds, and then black......The remote is not working, and I have to take out the powercabel to turn it off again. Then only way to get it work again is to install the firmware from safe mode.

Do anyone have a solution???

Yesterday i got myself a new Mini2, but i see i got firmware version 9.5.5 R1731 jan 25

What changed from the initial release?
I love the new SDk, looks good, but i think it's still a bit slow.
Not too bad but could be better!

I don't know if this is off topic but I have just bought a HD Mini 2 (ser. No. 7380003300763) and looked at the site for update firmware.

My Mini has firmware v9.5.5 r 2886 dated April 13 2011 10:33:11, but there is only one link in eastern european language (I think!!) when I Google.

Should I upgrade to r2988 or stick with what I've got until the (seemingly endless) list of bugs in r2988 are ironed out? I haven't a clue what differences there might be between my firmware and r2988

Thanks
