Oke a noob need some help :grinning:

Got a HD mini
Set up my TViXiE
I get my movies from my computer conected thru a router (network)
Want to work with the rss
what do i put in my TViXiEonHD and do i share the whole drive and map the movie folder as Y ?

THX infront for helping out a noob

P.S i also need some help with a other question
I got a collection of Looney Tunes (well over 300) and tom and jerry (well over 150) now when i let TVixie onHD make a movie list.
(working now thru YAMJ option now want to go to RSS but need a lot of studie on that :grinning: )
(Yep did a lot of reading up and RSS is not so easy as i thought or is it  )
On the movie wall it shows all the Looney tunes and tom and jerry movies separate is it possible to have just 1 poster for all the clips in the movie wall ?

And before i forget deep respect for Ood for this great program becoming a real spoiled brat with my playonHD mini because of you :grinning:

2. It would be great to have a facility to show the latest movies added. When you have 300 movies in your jukebox, the three new ones you just added are easily lost in the bunch and difficult for the family to find the "latest releases". Perhaps this could be added to the menu with "genres", "date" etc.

A workaround would be this way:
Add the new movie(s) and place them at the top of the list (So don't sort them alphabeticaly yet) till the next time you add movies (or when you've seen them) and them put them in the right place.

episode-sheet:
C:\Lost\Lost Season 01\Lost - S01E01\0001.jpg
season sheet:
C:\Lost\Lost Season 01\0001.jpg
series sheet:
C:\Lost\0001.jpg

If you do all this work then why not create another jukebox (OoD has written a manual in this topic about that) and use Genre for the series and season selection. That way you can use the jukebox and use the Genres option to get to the right season en then select the right episode:

for Lost Season 1 use for each episode genre: 'Lost Season 1'
for Lost Season 2 use for each episode genre: 'Lost Season 2'
For 24hours Season 1 use for each episode genre: '24hours', etc

Now when you go into the jukebox and select the right index file, you can browse the seasons through the genre instaid of 'All Movies' (that has all episodes of all series)

Just my 2 cents

When you click add folder button.
TViXiE2Playon!HD will do function below.

add files to list -> sort list -> remove duplicate file from list.

In latest version of TViXiE2Playon!HD. it have bug. I change some code and write wrong function order.
...
You can use Add File instead. "Add File" button don't have sort and remove duplicate bug.

OoD, can you make the whole sorting (and remove duplicates) process optional?

The way it's now implemented it's annoying. When i load a saved list (that i already sorted and rearranged before) and i then add a file (or folder) the whole list get's sorted again and i have to start all over to rearrange the list again.

I would like to see that the newly added files (of folders) are added at the end of the list.
Another option could be to only sort the new files in the right place but leave the files already in the list alone. That way you can rearrange the newly added files.

At this moment i have to add new files manualy with a text editor to the saved list and load that one into the program.

Pete,

you have to select NO (or Cancel) when asked to update the Jukebox.

If you have created the correct files (with ThumbGen) and put the right file names in T2P (see page 23 of this topic fot the right settings), then yes your created graphic file will be shown.
Keep in mind that the T2P software only creates the jukebox files, it doesn't create any art for you!

When you create the jukebox with the YAMJ software, you have to update it (choose Yes when asked to update the jukebox) everytime you run than software.

The YAMJ software is an easy and quick way to create the jukebox when you don't want to put to much time in the process and aren't to picky about the quality.
If you do want nice pictures and you have the time to create them (with TumbGen) than T2P is the way to go.

Post Re: How to use TViXiE2Playon!HD
Can someone help me with Tvixie2 please?

What is the correct POHD Jukebox Path in TVixie2Playon!HD for my setup?

I have all of my media on my PC (I have the PlayOn HD Mini with no internal HDD) which is networked to my Playon!HD Mini.
I've generated sheets using Thumbgen, but when I run TVixie2Playon it seems to build the menu but at the end I get an error:-

Cannot create file "D:\Jukebox". The system cannot find the path specified.

It creates a "Jukebox" folder with 2 files; "Other_All.rss" and "Other_All.xml", plus loads of sequencially numbered jpgs starting pvt.1.01.0001,<name>.jpg and so on for all my movies.

Can I ignore the error message?

How do I access this jukebox from my Playon?

So does the drive with the jukebox and media on it need to be directly connected to the Playon? Mine is networked.
When I try to find the jukebox from the Playon it says "No html file found". Obviously that's because TVixie has created an rss file.
Do I just need to add the path to the rss file into rss feeds?
