Re: The big, "firmware developing", topic.
indeed but Acryan does listen to positive and the critics posts. and are trying to keep up on implementing all if it is possible. but as they are very busy the last few months with of-course the new development of the new players, and of-course to make a firmware that does have a nice new GUI as well as as much bugs fixed as possible. they just can`t react in every topic about the asked questions. but what i have seen the past year is that almost 80% of all requests that are being asked are implemented. some requests are not as they are not possible, or just take more developing for implementing. but did you ever try the r1402 firmware for the pv73100 which was released over a year ago? and see what has been changed since then? you must agree they are doing there best. agreed some projects could have been done in a other way. but they really did there best. and for that reason i respect them. in the end of-course i am a customer a well, and will also say it if i am not pleased. as we did on the release of the r3582. but that is history sadly. what concerns that, they again listened to the reactions and changed the releasing of firmwares that where not ready. and gave a written changelog in almost every release since then. so i do see that they are listening to all of us, as for the release of the sdk 4.0 they said for the pv73100 and the pv73200 week 3 or 4 and not to shoot them if they overrun that date by two weeks. till now the extra two weeks are not ended yet. so please hold on it is coming

Re: The big, "firmware developing", topic.
Dirk,
You are right about progress made from r1135. And you're completely right there's still some time for GUI 2.0 and we should wait for it patiently, so it can be stable.
But.. the main thing people are worried about is communication. And they are not talking about communication between users and moderators, because it's perfect. Everyone is really thankful for your support, really. The problem is communication on line users <-> company: there is no such line right now. Previous year people were not satisfied about it, but at the moment it's complete silence. This way customers get the feeling about buying device from Chinese street seller: "You bought it, you paid for it, you get lost now". Somebody posted "marketing" information on new GUI 2.0 to see how many people will get excited on it, but now they are getting frustrated or even mad.
I don't believe that nobody, absolutely nobody from A.C. Ryan company doesn't have 5 minutes to log-in here and write something like: "Sorry, this and this is not ready yet, but we will try to release on that day or that week". And looking on their last log-in info, many of them actually have enough time to visit forum, so how much time takes writing mentioned sentence?
And if they post a note: "It is not ready yet, probably in March or even later" - that's fine with me (and probably some other users also), but in March we'd like to see information if it's ready or if not - when can we expect new update.

i do get your point Mikka but as you know i can only understand all of you, and give as much info as i can. but i have no influence on how the staff should operate on the forum. i do however feel the forum is for and by the users (at least i think ) and if ACryan does give info (which they did in a way) maybe the could give some more info, but as no new news is there what could they say?? so actually i am in the middle here, i really want this forum to stay alive (hence the work I and others put into it, yourself as well of-course), and i do hope all other users do feel the same about this i do. don`t know what to say more about this issue sorry,

Hi Mikka, You reflect the feeling of all the customers, who are expecting a responsible statement from A.C. Ryan. You are one hundred percent correct in this context.

Is there anyone, and I mean ANYONE, who will buy a player from AC Ryan again? There are lots and lots better players out there.
No communication. No quality. No after care. And they walk away from previous promises.
This company will not exist anymore in one or two years. I'd like to make a bet on that.

Thats your opinion , me and a lot others are happy with the player and we try to give as much support as possible But we can't please everyone. Don't like the player/company go buy another maybe they can give you the support you expect.

I think we need to look deeper in his reaction to understand (or at least AC Ryan), what is happening with there name and how it's changing. From my experience i can tell you that AC Ryan is already getting bad reviews from friends and co-workers. When a discussion starts about media players everything i have seen here is used as argument NOT to buy a AC Ryan. Just my 2 cent's.

With all due respect, but that sentence is exactly what's wrong with AC's mentality. Succesfull companies react like this: "Hey, is something wrong? Tell us what to do to fix it!" Unsuccesfull companies say: "Go, buy another one". And then everyone buys another one. Life is simple.
