I tried resize this partition by shrinking NTFS partition. all goes nicely up to right before I growth the root partition. (ie: shrink NTFS partition -OK, move both swap and root partition without resize -OK, OK mean plug back internal disk recognize by POHD DVR). However, the next steps is to growth root partition to use all the free space, once this is done, POHD DVR no longer recognize this disk as internal disk layout, always prompt for format disk (go back to square one).

df -h shown internal disk mounted at usbmount point, as I posted before (above quote), I did managed to resize and move all others partitions without problems, untill very last step resize root partition then problem come. I did the test by resize or move one partition at a time to pin point which step cause internal disk no longer recognize. fdisk -l show exact partition seq and type as original except size different.

NTFS mounted via ufsd absolutely not fit for torrent, I stress test NTFS with transmission, file corruption start happen after 2-3 days non-stop running. even corrupt my DTV recorded file. Really bad idea without ext3 partition option for more io taxing jobs.

when i set a tv program to record on a regular basis example weekdays between 6pm to 8pm on channel 9 it doesnt record, double checked everythign and all seems as per my requirments.

also when you use the program to see whats on next on a channel the times are incorrect even though my date is set correctly.

I thought the r4824 was a Release Candidate (RC).

How come all of the sudden it became an Official Release ?!?

Without any modifications and with none of the issues pointed in this forum resolved...
Just by sitting here for a month... and it is now a GA release.

Ridiculous!

Gday genkifd

Your problem may be that the unit is failing to remember the system time. If the unit is not keeping the correct system time, a schedule a recording will fail. The system time bug is a fairly common problem with the PlayonDVR 76120 player, and there is no solution for it and very little acknowledgment that it exists. It is strange for a PVR that is not able to do a basic schedule program recording . There is a thread here in the 76120 topics if you wish to read about the time bug.

Cheers

Suddently using this firmware I cannot add torrent. I'm in the browser, file selected, pressing the MENU just shows the "prohibited" sign?

Update: fortunately I could do it thru web (device:1024)

One more thing: for the 1st time I've connected my surround system to optical s-pdif out of the player. Compared to other audio sources, playon's is much lower. Instead of setting -45db on my amplifier, I have to go to -30 at least to get somewhere near the usual volume.

Update: after starting an 80GB torrent, it made 45 GB of download in 2 days. Then my kid turns off the playon (with the button on/off). After restart, the torrent is at 0GB again and even though it says download:started, there's no peer, no transfer, nothing. Sucks!

Sounds like you are in Oz? I had to fiddle around by manually setting the time zone, currently at 11+ in Sydney. To make sure your time is correct check the time on the Schedule page as well as the time on Digital TV, press Info.

I found this firmware with following issue:-

1. Schedule record all GONE MISSING after a power recycle (turn off and on main power supply), I can't find any logical reason why this device with both flash memory on-board and hard disk can't event keep schedule recording intact when power cut off (power failure all schedule recording gone!! like go back to stone age).

2. setting time to internet time (ntp) meaning less because after power recycle (ie: power failure), time go back to factory default and never resync with ntp server. This is basic ntp protocol procedure to force sync once ntp daemon started before do periodically check. this firmware more like doing one time sync then forget about time instead of continuous sync time and recover skew.
