To much resources for the webserver
Forum is already heavy loaded so a shoutbox would even ask more from the server.

In the weekend of 4th and 5th of December AC Ryan will be moving its web services to a more powerful machine to keep up with the demand our websites and forums require. This means that our website will experience some down time. Starting from the 4th of December 8pm (CET / GMT+1) for a few hours. When the website will be back up then depends on the speed of your providers DNS server. This normally takes about 24 hours but in some cases can also take up to 72 hours.
This will apply to all web services of AC Ryan
- acryan.com (website and forums)
- playonhd.com
- playondvr.com
- weplayon.com
This will also apply to all e-mail traffic coming from and to AC Ryan.
Our apologies for any inconvenience!
We expect however, to offer everyone a better web experience afterwards.

Re: Shoutbox This server is faster bigger etc but we also want to keep it fast and not slow due to a lot of sql traffic due to a shoutbox
My experience when i hosted a big forum it makes by website 40% slower due to a heavy use of the shoutbox.
IRC chat would be a better idea
