Post Killer Product at PC Magazine Greece!
Hi all,

PC Magazine in Greece has just reviewed the Playon!DVRHD and it received their “Killer Product” award!
Here is a summary in English.

“Killer Product”

“The first time we come into contact with the media players from AC Ryan in the June issue, we were impressed with the quality and completeness of characteristics, which combined with low prices had given the Editor's Choice. The Playon! DVRHD is the youngest child of the company and is adding a feature that many users are looking for such a product – digital video recording.

Indeed, the device has not one but two digital television tuners, so you have the ability to watch one program and record [available in grades 5] another simultaneously. The DVR played content played smoothly and linked with our wireless network and had no problem in wireless streaming of 1080p files. Moreover, 1TB of HDD is more than adequate for both your own files and for what you record. The price is certainly not a problem”

I wonder how they managed to stream 1080p content without any problem. I can't even stream it when connected by cable.

Yes, I was wondering about all these reviews too ... actually, IMHO all these accolade in the first line proves nothing but the fact that no tester / editor did a serious test of the box ... Instead, they plug in the box for a few minutes, play around through the menus ... and than simply copy+paste the marketing press release. The box features too many bugs and shortcomings which can't stay undetected during a thorough test.
