An interesting situation when I turned my unit on today & logged into transmission:

Code:
Error: Error: No space left on device (/tmp/hdd/volumes/HDD1/transmission/{torrent name}/

There is about 600gb free on the hdd!

Any ideas?

Jason

I also get this error!
Often happens when I start to DL a FULL HD torrent (aprox 10 GB), after 2-4 hours the POHD craches (I can´t connect to it, can´t turn it off - have to unpluck the power), when it starts again the transmission starts to verify the data of the torrent, and when it comes to 100 % the error message occur.
I have 1 TB left on my HDD. Sometimes I also get an error saying that the directory does not exsist, but it does. Then I try to delete all data and start over, but same thing happens. I can DL smaller torrents (1 GB). Any ideas?

discocandy: almost everything is on the website:

Most of the settings can be easily managed using InfoSite 0.7 Special Edition (available under http://PlayOn!HD-IP:1024)

It's STRONGLY recommended to install them, so you can enjoy all features. The best option is to download and extract packages in /tmp/hdd/root (please check available space) manually BEFORE flashing new firmware. If it's not possible, you can always do it after installing firmware: manually in the same way as it should be done 'before' OR using InfoSite.

Note: If you are using InfoSite installer, you MUST extract .zip archive, so you get .tar file (and only .tar file - don't extract it). Packs are compressed, so they're easier to download.

So if you don't want to play in Telnet:
1) Download Optware + RSS packs and extract .zip files
2) Move rss.tar + opt.tar to the root of your NTFS partition on hard disk (via FTP, USB or whatever else)
3) Open InfoSite and go to Optware page - you should get redirected to another page
4) Click on 'Install Optware', wait few minutes when it's finished repeat Step 3, but go to RSS page this time
5) Click on 'Install RSS'. When it's done, everything is installed. You don't have to reboot to get them working.

hyperjase & Funkster: I get this error few times: mostly with big torrents (Transmission has a lot of problems with torrents bigger than 4 GB on NTFS, so it's much better to use ext3 for this purpose) and when POHD was shutdown without pausing Transmission (probably it has something to do with stopping hard disk while Transmission is still writing data into the disk).

Thanks Mikka.
Got it working after a replacement of my faulty unit, which no longer supports r2891 nor r2901.
All works.
Installed sshd:
Code:
# ipkg-opt install openssh

and added it to /usr/local/etc/optS:
Code:
# Starting sshd
/opt/sbin/sshd

All that remains is a way to login through ssh without passwd (with pre-shared-keys), which I'll figure out some day... :)

Kudos for you!

First of all Thanks for this package, It works like a charm and I love it.

The only thing that isn't working for me is some of the content in the "X Live" section. I get an "Cannot play media file" error (e.g. when I try the Channels in LiveTV). Am I missing a Codec or is the content restricted to the respective countries?

@kawakinho: passwordless login via ssh is working for me. Can you specify your problems? I needed to add another user with the home directory not being on the internal harddrive (/tmp/hdd/volumes/HDD1) since the ownership of the authorized_keys file would otherwise stay with the root user.

Regarding xLive: http://acryan.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=71641&sid=20808925aaf5a2117940e93d95400ee3#p71641

I have a kind request to all of you: if you add something new (nzbget, ssh, anything else) please share it, so I can include it in next releases. This way other people can also use it, and you'll have much less work with migration in future updates. It's impossible for me to work on 3x fronts (firmware, RSS, Optware) at the same time, so I'm counting on you guys!

I didn't make RSS and Optware packs without purpose: it's made this way so you can modify it without any limitations (ext3 partition, more than enough space) and it's protected from firmware upgrade.

Well, that's probably it...
I went through the sshd_config file and changed some options:
  • to allow for root login
  • to specify a authorized_keys file (tryed specifying and leave it default)
Then I created in my PC the ida_rsa private key and the id_rsa.pub pubic key
After that I created a authorized_keys file on the POHD under /root/.ssh/ and /tmp/hdd/root (tried both). The contents of the file is the same as my id_rsa.pub.
I even changed sshd_config to point to a different authorized_keys path, but nothing - it always asks for password.
Oh! Obviously, I first changed the root password to a non-null value, of course
Regards
Jr

It has to be /tmp/hdd/root, but you can install packs via InfoSite: better instructions are few posts before.
