Dear buddy,
I had clearly mentioned "passthrough", not down-mix. I need POHD to passthrough the DTS-HD MA stream from an mkv file to my HD audio capable AV receiver. Presently it is supported from an ts and m2ts files, but not from an mkv file. I cant explain anything better than this. If you still cant clarify my doubt, please pass it on to ACRyan staff. The 1073DD version is capable of downmixing dts-ma and tru-hd to 2:0 stereo and passthru to 5:1

So probaly your reciever says normal dts instead of dts-ma or normal surround when playing true-hd

Only the latest revision of the playon!hd (mini) and essential + the playondvr-hd can pastrough 7:1 dts-ma and 7:1 true-hd

Check config/system info if your board is 1073dd or 1073dd+

I have the opposite: For the PC->player connection I saw a severe decrease in speed with the last firmwares. I used to be at slightly above 5MB/s and now I am down to about 3.5MB/s. Of course also my Disk is now almost full, but that should not cause such a decrease in network performance.

For the browsing with thumbgen images I first though it improved, but yesterday I had to hard-reset the box 5 times just to scroll about 5 times to get to a movie - in the end I disabled the feature in the settings - please fix that!

My question is very simple, will POHD (with 1073dd+ in current firmware ver) passthrough DTS-HD MA audio to my HD audio capable receiver from an mkv file? This is not happening and my receiver lights up only DTS instead of DTS-HD MA.

Well i gave you a answer that it should support dts-ma if a media file supported by the pohd contains a dts-ma track it should be working like mkv/mt2s/ etc.

You are sure the mkvfile has a dts-ma track ?

can you run it thru mediainfo (google for it) and paste the output txt file here ?

Yes my mkv files have 100% DTS-MA track. I will send u the mediainfo output as proof for you very soon in this thread.
