Am I right in assuming that the HD audio is detected just not outputting?
Edit: The HD audio is outputting and downmix to stereo too, great!
This was only tested on TrueHD tracks though, will update later with a dts-hd MA test.

Tested it today but reverted back to 4415. With this version, I don't see my synology diskstation anymore. Also it only sees my vista32 machine and only if I shut this one down will he see my Win7.

Installed r4824 yesterday and I think it's fine.

I did have a slight problem with the sound via optical. With MP3s there's no sound using Passthrough but when switched to LCPM Dual-channel it's OK.

On the other hand Passthrough works fine with films - my Denon indicates DTS or DD etc. so I presume that's what is coming out of the speakers and it certainly sounds good to me.

Picture quality is excellent (but then it always has been). There is still the long-standing glitch with the zoom being reversed on JPEGs but I can live with that.

So I won't be reverting to r4312 this time because this does everything I need it to. GUI2 will be the icing on the cake when it arrives.

Hi - I've updated the firmware and now when I play a movie they always start with subtitles on , I can switch them off in play mode via subs button but would prefer the movie to start without subs coming on . Any ideas ?

Yes, you can find this option in setup menu.

I also had this issue after installed new firmware. i don't know how but now i don't have this problem no more!! I only changed video output and screen size in setup menu. Now i see subtitles correcty without <i> and </i> tags

Video_TS (mpeg2) in 4:3 ratio is correctly shown in preview, but in play-mode it is shown 16:9 (full screen).
Also H264 (mp4 and mkv) that should be displayed 4:3, are only in preview mode correctly displayed.
This annoying error is different from the sort of behaviour a few revisions back. The 4:3 movies were then zoomed to the full width of the screen, while the ratio stayed correct. In this revision and the previous, the height of the display stays allright, so it is stretched to full width.
There also was at least one revision where this problem was solved.....

i am back to 4312. FW 4415 and 4824 both state that there is unknown hardware ?

I was very happy about this new test firmware because, since SDK3 based ones, I have the "Sorry! Unknown Hardware! The firmware can't work!" message when I boot it after a long period of not use.

I upgraded it, everything works fine with some test files. I shut it down this morning.

Now, tonight, I boot it and...... "Sorry! Unknown Hardware! The firmware can't work!"

So I unplug the alim, I re-boot it quickly and everything works fine!!!!

I know that I'm not alone in this case so here is my question : WILL ACRYAN TEAM WORKS ON THIS ISSUE OR NOT?????

I must choose between :
- firmware 4312 with no error message on boot but no DTS HD or Dolby+ sound because that's not a SDK3 based one
- this 4824 with a error message on boot but excellent HD sound and a great and new fullscreen browser list
