d100, I had (somehow similar?) problems related to channel sorting with the previous 4538, when each schedule showed a mismatch like channel number A / channel name B. I could edit the schedules to show the correct combination, but after saving the schedule, it switched back to the wrong state. In the end, it ended up with records of channel A stored in folder of channel B, named after a recording from channel C.

sorry, but I have to disagree. IMHO, it was a pain. The most intuitive way would be to simply move single channels to a new position, without this circular replacement ...

In this version channels get the logical number (and key assignment) from scanning and you cannot change it. So what is left to you to do? Nothing! Or only to resort the list of channels with the fixed key assignments to get a list with... unsorted numbers! Actually they have removed the capability of configuration there.

Also if you finally decide to put channels in different order in the list (the only thing you can do now) is a pain. Actually you do not have to try this (and in a... regular basis of firmware updates!) except you are a masochist. I know because I... tried, trying to understand the "new logic".

Is there in ACR, someone, that approaches the product as a user? And a new GUI? Really I am afraid what they will produce!

And another thing about configuration of the channels. Why in this process have to actually tune in the channels which also makes the process slower as there is a lag in accomplishing tuning after tuning? We just try to rearrange a list, change key assignments to channels (at least we could!) etc, not to tune to anything or... watch DTV at the same time.

9. It is done automaticly. If you select into the setup menu your TV resolution the system will automaticly up or downscale. They have found a more efficient way to this which gives better results

10. I think it on the player it self, so you need to connect it with putty or other client to add the the fonts.
Maybe they can add it or link it to the harddisk.

Yes you are correct. You can change the channel list when switching channels = Swapping NED 2 with NED 3 etc when you press 'Enter' on remote while watching DTV, but the numbers on the remote 1,2,3,4,5 etc will not be affected by this. I have reported this as a bug to fix.

I have confirmed that what you say is true. When you arrange the channels by your own liking, it will only work in the list and when you press 'Enter'. If you use the numbers of the remote it will not save. I have reported this as a bug. This comes down to user preference and we have only had this firmware for some days of testing. I never had the need to use the numbers on the remote for instance, I simply use the 'Enter' key and scroll with blue keys when using the DTV with the Playon!DVR-HD.
