How to update this firmware:

It is the same as all SDK3.X platform based firmwares require; please update your Playon!HD to r3582 before proceeding to update with this firmware. Example; from r2901, you need to first update it to r3582 before proceeding to r4368. For those, already on r4368, r4090 or r3582, you could directly update to r4368. We strongly recommend users to perform System Update instead of Safe Mode Reflash. In case of problems when updating this firmware, please reflash the firmware again using Safe Mode Reflash instead.

my ACRYAN player is v.7.0.6 r4318... is that suitable for update??

@chris2046: yes, it is. But first update to r3582 before updating to r4824.

Has the visibility of the menu selection boxes been improved ?????????????
Since r3582 it was very hard to see what you were selecting in the menu's.

And why a Release Candidate on this interface, i thought we would get GUI 2.0

Trying to upgrade from r4318, I get a large panel saying "Incompatiate Bootloader , please reinstall old firmware". Never got this before.

Please read the instructions in the post and in the changelog. Don't guess? If you have r. 4318, please update to r. 3582 first, then you can update to r. 4824.

Menu:s etc got Swedish text (finally) THANK YOU FOR THIS . Has to try movies when tv is free

The interface has not been worked on for this update. The changelog is there but the major fixes that a lot of people are waiting for is regarding the BitTorrent update, and also the Windows 7/samba related issues. This is still SDK 3.0. We are still working on SDK 4.0, but wanted to fix some of the critical bugs that have been reported lately. You will still see SDK 4.0 and Playon!GUI2.0 as mentioned in other threads.

Great news for some, although since this version apparently lacks NTP its a clear downgrade for me, so i'll pass!

Hoping for resurrection of NTP in the future!

need to comfirm... when i upgrade the firmware for my Playon!HD... the data & movie which save in my 3.5" HDD will still reserve? i scare that the upgrade system will format my HDD automaticaly. thank.
