I deleted some posts here. Stay in topic please! If you want to discuss something other than firmware r. 4368 here, your post will be deleted. Feel free to start new topics in more suitable areas if you wish to discuss/ask something else.

Thanks

Post Re: [BETA - SDK3.X] PV73100 v7.3.X.r4368 POHD
Managed to get a replacement recently, and updated it to 4368.

The problem now is that sometimes I can see black pixels clump together either at the front or the side of the tv. It's an MKV file. I have tried the same file on the TV USB Input (It can plays mkv also), and no problem. This black pixels comes and go. In a minute it's there, then a few seconds later, it's gone. Then it's back after 1 minutes or so.

Another problem, would be the Torrent download. Set it to download one file at a time, (has other 2 files in queue), - the system shows downloading, but after about 30 minutes or so, the Torrent is off (but the within the setup-network-torrent= shows ON). Had to set it to OFF then On again, then only it starts to download again.

Thanks,

Hello,

About the 'black pixels'. Does this happen with 1x file or several? Could you provide a example somehow? If not, perhaps a screen shot/photo? A free place to upload files -> http://www.mediafire.com

Did this start with this firmware or with previous as well?

About the BT client. A known issue and we have a new firmware with a fix for it, and we are currently testing it with positive results so far. Hopefully we can release this firmware this week!

Br,

Mikael,

That was just too easy, just deleting my posting.

In fact, I was on topic. I just stated that I don't expect the r4368 (nor any other FW) ever to reach another status than Beta.
Just don't see why that was off-topic. And if so, you could have moved the posting to another topic instead of just deleting it.

But I guess my comment was something you didn't want to hear.

This current beta works fine for me...
And I personally don't care whether a firmware is stated as alpha or beta, as long as it is stable enough for my needs. 3582 was supposed to be a stable version but was still 4 times less stable than 4368 (at least for me..)
To sum up, my question is: Why does it matter if it is a beta or it is announced as "stable"? :?

I'm not trying to argue with you here ( and forgive me if it sounded like this - my native language is not English), I was just wondering...

Well, good that it worked for you. But, probably you are not using features which causes problems to others.
But if you are using features that causes problems, I'm sure that you will care more. And you will be wanting a more "stable" firmware.

What you are saying is absolutely true, but..
I believe that POHD is a media player and it should play files without problem and have the ability to transfer files from/to it. Every additional feature is a bonus IMHO and it should be of secondary importance...
Of course, since it is advertised to have those features, too, it should have them and they should work fine. The fact is that some of them don't work so well, but I still believe that some people are being very offensive about them and they just don't need to... After all, by doing this, it will not help any firmware to be more correctly and more quickly developed... ;)

Is the PlayOn HD supposed to be able to play 24/192 and 24/176 flac/wave files? I've tried playing then via both analog and SPDIF output(to external DAC) but have encountered severe stuttering.

The very same files play perfectly fine on my PC on an external DAC.

I tried 24/192 ape and it plays flawlessly :)

Complains sugestions etc about the firmware developing can be dropped here

viewtopic.php?f=25&t=8627

So in fact you where off topic

Thius topic is about the stability and fucntions working or not in this fw not about if it ever will be a official fw

This FW still hung my POHD every single day when browsing. Anyway to fix it? It's so randomized and I sometimes just want to walk up and throw it out of the window!!!!!!
