When are you going to start testing it? Is that late December for a "Final" release or a beta? How about releasing a beta for us to try, then a release candidate before making a final release? This is a real disappointment. I've been watching, waiting every day for a new release and now it is going to be another month before we get anything. Disgraceful! No info. No updates. Now this. Cheers. A.V.

Will there be any rewards from ACRyan for our patience? Can't wait for my BT to work perfectly well. Hope it can be solved asap.

Cheers. A.V. Hello, We have not seen any version for the Playon!GUI 2.0 other than the already ready version for the new Playon!Essentials. Our coders/developers are currently converting this new Playon!GUI 2.0 and SDK 4.0 to our current products Playon!HD/Mini/DVR. The reason we are going to release it before to Playon!DVR first is simply since the SDK 4.0 is more developed to that player as it is right now. Once we receive this we can start testing of course. I'm located in Rotterdam/Europe, and this is being developed/coded in China. Releasing it as public or beta is not my call, that is up to our product manager so I can't say anything about that right now. We will release it when we have something to release. As far as I know it will be sometime in December if nothing major happens and I have not heard anything so far. That's all I have. Br,

Your reward will be another two extra weeks, and then a sudden post about a beta firmware in beginning of January When the news about the Essential appeared on the biggest IT-community site from the Benelux (which includes the Netherlands where AC Ryan has their European HQ), a AC Ryan spokesperson mentioned the new GUI for the PlayOnHD and mini, to be there at the end of November. And possibly, if a delay, early December. Now it's even late December (but why don't we all think about January instead?) How difficult can it be to make a topic, closed for comments, where once a week a small update is posted. (like: we ran into a new challenge, will take at least 2 weeks)
Now we all look every day, often multiple times a day, like a bunch of little childeren if there is any news
First time it's brought up (that thing about com-mu-ni-ca-tion). What does 'clear' mean? I also check the forum, as an eager kid to find new information or firmware updates, but just a few times a week. Not really looking forward to read 'updates' regarding the BT-problems, where people just copy-pasted the info or the URL again to that online guide on how to Telnet-change-your-POHD-with-different-settings. That was known a year ago, and any thorough seeker, could find it. But doesn't that much. (Nor is posting or making the suggestions from that guide in a topic an actual update to the BT-problem AC Ryan!)

 Re: [BETA - SDK3.X] PV73100 v7.3.X.r4368 POHD
Ye I'm sorry for the confusion. It's hard to please all, and it's hard to keep dates when developing these things. We try to keep open minded talks/communication and I have always tried to give answers as much as I can. If we give dates, they are only there to be broken. If we don't give any dates, then we are not giving enough information. I'm glad so many people are eager. Just sign up for the news letter and you wont have to look for firmware/updates 'everyday'. Twitter/Facebook etc will be updated. But I thought I would give you this information here first since it was asked.
Even if we have to release in February we will. But of course we are not deliberately delaying or trying to confuse you.
If you want to be negative, be my guest. It will only make our job harder and in the end your forum less pleasant.

I think people forget this are target months early dec maybe januari Im on of the testers wich test the Playon DVR-HD and the Playon!hd We will internal test this new gui on all devices And don't forget moderate on this forum and have a busy private life We will do our best with the staff to filter out the biggest and anoying bugs in the new gui 2.0 yes bugs where things are build and coded will be bugs. Even windows is a big bug ) So have some patience with this makeover and new sdk 4.0 it is a verry big project for a small company. I truly believe your patience will be rewarded We will keep you updated how the test are going.

 Re: [BETA - SDK3.X] PV73100 v7.3.X.r4368 POHD
@Mikael: So, does this imply that new (beta) firmwares will be mentioned in the newsletters? You were going to check it out, so I guess this means it's a go ?
@Kraakie: I quote: "We will keep you updated how the test are going." Many users (even you Viom :p ) are just a bit let down, that good words came about efforts to improve communication, and it has been going better, but it's slowly moving backwards again.
@All: In general, people also don't want ifnormation to be spread-out over blogs, twitter, newsletters, forum, homepage of POHD, facebook-groups, etc... I don't mind, if I can be rest-assured that they all contain the same information, so if I stick to checking up with two information-services, I won't miss out on anything.

 Re: [BETA - SDK3.X] PV73100 v7.3.X.r4368 POHD
Here I have some problems, with this Firmware:
1/ The sound passthrough, sometimes falls out. The I need to go to the setup menu. Confirm everything (sound) and then go back to the movie and it's going smoothly again. HDMI I don'yt know, don't use that. And I only are using VOBS.
2/When putting a movie (VOBS) on pause then if I wait too long to return, then the system hangs.
3/Indeed in the browser, it's very unclear to see, where you are. If everything would be like the return item (Blue and very clear) would be much better.
regards, Hans
