In that case you should be able to change the password ...

the Linux script I mentioned is for the BT password which can be changed after logging into the web page.

if you want to change the Linux telnet/terminall username and password then go to:

Looks like security is not a big issue for ACRyan, you can not even protect the 'root' with a password, using the 'passwd' command gives you a core dump

the root password can't be changed with passwd because the file is in the re-only mount area - there's a "how-to" to change the root password

When I complained about not being able to change the web access password, they just confirmed that
One thing ; don't change it from '123' to '12345', cause it won't change !! It has to be a really different password !!

I created a DES hash password using the link and added it to the 'root' entry in <slash>usr<slash>local<slash>etc<slash>passwd !! (sorry, the funny board software won't let me use forward slashes)
