thanks for the reply! Why less than 29 folders? its impossible to have less 29 folders in music and photos if you collect albums and that you like to organize your pics. I hope it will be resolve soon because i like the idea of yamj.

it will ;)

and if you make folders from a to z you will have 26 folders in the first image or music folder,
the try to make in each folder no more then 28 folders.

yes when you make in the folder "image" and the folder "music" ,
the folders where you have stored your music and photo`s.

there you make in each folder 26 new folders and call them a to z
so :
first folder = a
second = b
third = c
and so on ;)

then in each folder you store your music and data,
and you make sure that you make no more then 28 folders in each.

that way you can probably reasign your complete music and pictures,
and you have no folders any more with more then 29 folders.

but also be carefull that you have also no folder depth of more then 20.

then you can use the yamj and update the index.htm and also find it\with r3286 and the yamj 1.8 version.

;)

...so don't overmake a total of 580 folders...from the root....???!??!

HDD1 (no more of 20 folders)
|
|
|----->[Images] (no more of 26 folders)
| |
| |--------[A] (no more of 28 folders)
| |--------[B] (no more of 28 folders)
|----->[Music] (no more of 26 folders)
| |
| |--------[A] (no more of 28 folders)
| |--------[B] (no more of 28 folders)
|----->[Movie] (no more of 26 folders)
| |
| |--------[A] (no more of 28 folders)
| |--------[B] (no more of 28 folders)

.....and so on......

Is this RIGHT?

perfect explanation Lele,

then he could even make a few more folders in the sub folders as long:

HDD1 (no more of 20 folders)
|
|
|----->[Images] (no more of 26 folders)
| |
| |--------[A] (no more of 28 folders)
| |--------[B] (no more of 28 folders)
|----->[Music] (no more of 26 folders)
| |
| |--------[A] (no more of 28 folders)
| |--------[B] (no more of 28 folders)
| |--------[C]----|-----[album one] (you`re music files)
| |----------------|-----[album two] (you`re music files)
| |----------------|-----[classic] (you`re music files)
| |----------------|-----[rock] (you`re music files)
| |----------------|-----[album tree] (you`re music files)
| |----------------(no more then 28 folders like this in each folder)

|
|----->[Movie] (no more of 26 folders)
| |
| |--------[A] (no more of 28 folders)
| |--------[B] (no more of 28 folders)

btw as you made such a nice example i used it to also make clear that adding folders in each folder
is allowed if he does not exceed the rule of 29 folders on the same folder
and if he goes no more then 20 folders deep,

so it would result in an exponential ammount of folders if he liked,

like in music you have first 26 folders times 28 is already 728
remember he is allowed to still go 15 folders deeper that would be already 10920 folders,
he is also allowed to make 28 folders in each of them so that would then be 305760 folders.

well if he did he could also store in each folders mp3 or other music files.
and that would only be the music directory,
so by 3 for also movie and image,
he would have his disk full before he is even able to store data on it,
as each folder also uses disk space .

so that way there is plenty of availability to store your files,
in a neat way without exceeding the 29 folders and 20 subfolders issue.

ok i renamed my folder and surprise, it doesnt work. I dont have anything in the jukebox file in "Movies". So it never creat a html file after a scanning of 3 hours.

I copied the moviejukebox.properties file to the yamj root and i wrote that under "# Add other properties here":

mjb.PlayOnHD=true
mjb.internet.plugin=com.moviejukebox.plugin.TheMovieDbPlugin
mjb.internet.plugin=com.moviejukebox.plugin.AllocinePlugin
thetvdb.language=fr

Is it correct? Do i missed something?

ok i copied the content of moviejukebox-default.properties file in moviejukebox.properties file that i placed in the Yamj folder. in the moviejukebox.properties, i changed #mjb.jukeboxRoot=P:/ to mjb.jukeboxRoot=H:/. Where i can write mjb.PlayOnHD=true to work? At the top of the page? Do i have to change anything else or im in the good way? I just want to be sure before scanning a other time.

Dont waste your time scanning all files at once.
Start with only a few files in the folder to do some testing.
I copied 2 of my movies to the folder and started testing with that.
When I had it all under control I moved the rest of the movies over to the folder and did the final scan.
