About the speeds, I'd like to confirm:

- Wireless, it's more stable and that makes the average speeds go a little bit higher than before (before = last 5 firmwares)

- There's also less likely a dropout, where the POHD suddenly goes out of the network and becomes unreachable. So, that also helps when copying medium (2~4GB) sized files.

"16. Browsing thru the internal hdd can make the device crash "
=> Crashed when I circle through the list of movies (42 directories). Well, crash, it just hangs. I have to unplug the AC adapter. Holding power button for 30seconds or more also doesn't help.

Yesterday I had a problem playing below file.

The.Walking.Dead.S01E01.Days.Gone.Bye.720p.WEB-DL.AAC2.0.h.264-ETP

Video froze after 10 sec or so and there was no sound. Tried it a few times, but same result everytime.
This was my first time a video didn't play.

File played smoothly on my PC and laptop
I also have problems playing full ripped retail Bluray Discs

Anyone having the same problem?

also when the pohd loses network connection it will now look for another connection, all by itself. sometimes i have to restart my router, and before this update i had to restart the pohd to or manually activate the wifi again. now it does that all by itself.

that`s improvement :!:

from your post in the DVR forum :

thus beta release of r4090 had time removed from the firmware for PV73XXX series.

Is it back in this firmware ?? If not, how do you sync or set time on the POHD ?? Now every file you put on the HDD gets some fantasy date/time ... ?
Seems to me that there should be a way, because you also mentioned that the HD and Mini do not have a battery clock, so they can not keep time when in standby or powerdown :?

EDIT: I now understand from your reply in the DVR forum how/why the Time setting was added and later removed, but I really think there should be a way to set time !!

+1000 Re add the time settings - it's a total non sense to remove that ...

My 2 cents;

-Damn still a lot of freezups, espiacially when some JPG's are being loaded. Still not fixed the picture buffer bug?

-some mkv green/purple bug still in here (since the first FW i suppose, and i gave up hope it'll be fixed in the future)

-Highligte bar in menu is barely visable.....but a lot of people mentioned that one earlier (highlight it like for example the 'back' button, it isn't that difficult is it?)

-audio......AUDIO.......AUDIO!!!!! still isnt fixed properly....

-Time setting....see above....

-Subtitles.....see above....

quote JUNWEI;
1. Subtitle problem with tags
2. WMM QoS enables doest not work with Shoutcast radio sollution disable this option in the router
3. Usb hdd cannot be browsed makes unit crash.

-good one: mkv headers fixed!

Post Re: [BETA - SDK3.X] PV73100 v7.3.X.r4368 POHD
Just updated to this new Firmware.
Set my Wired LAN IP to a fixed IP address.
DNS Server & Default Gateway updated to the correct settings before the Firmware Update.

I am able to listen to Internet Radio, RSS Feed, which means it's able to connect to the Internet.

On my PC, I'm able to browse into the pohd hdd. I'm able to Ping it's IP address. But I could not browse it via Firefox or Internet Explorer. I could not telnet into it also. I plugged in the USB cable directly to POHD, and tried to telnet onto it, also not possible. I'm trying to change the Port Number on this POHD, and also trying to add BT files, but all failed. Any Ideas on how to overcome this. I updated the POHD via a thumbdrive.
Thanks.

Hi, i have recently updated my POHD to r4368 and can successfully play my .mkv files which did not play at all previoulsy

However i have run into a problem with the File copy option, when trying to access it, i get prompted with a pin entry screen, even though i have not set it up before, and in the system -> misc menu i can see that pin protection is turned on, i am unable to turn it off without the correct pin, is there a default pin or how can i reset this setting ?? :?:

Post Re: [BETA - SDK3.X] PV73100 v7.3.X.r4368 POHD
I am on the latest beta version now. I discover a very strange thing. The POHD video system initially set at 1080P 60Hz. Then, when I switched off and on back the TV, the video system setting will be changed to 480P by itself.

cable connection: - 1) HDMI cable from POHD to LCD TV. 2)Digital Coaxial cable from POHD to the home theater system
TV: Philips LCD TV 47PFL5609 47" Full HD 1080p
HTS: Philips Cineos SoundBar DVD home theater HTS8100
POHD: 1073DD FW [BETA - SDK3.X] PV73100 v7.3.X.r4368

The problem I am facing is audio output no sound for both RMVB video and AVI video. Passthrough is set for both HDMI and SPDIF. However, audio output for MKV video is working fine though.

Appreciate some advice here. Thanks.
