The idea of this thread is good... but the follow up, by whoever was going to do so, is lacking behind. Once more. If info is going to be spread in the firmware-threads and both here, just canalize it by moving the info to this topic in a consistent behaviour or close/remove this thread.
The development team knows best, the product specialist brings out info every now and then, and now after asked for, a mod says he or they (the mods) will bring out the news when there is news. Double-function in place here? How can this not confuse (or keep irregular visitors motivated) to read and contribute to whatever they are still wanted and thanked for as a user and/or tester.
PS: Why is this thread in the Lounge-section? It's relevant to the firmware-development, and it's in a subforum where people chit-chat about everything and nothing. Move it to an adequate subforum, and stickify it.
this topic is created so everyone can discuss about the firmware development (as the topic says),
it is not been made to keep track of bugs.
actually it is done to keep comments about the firmware development away,
from the release forums and topics so the development,
does not have to read the entire topics and comments about what is done in development,
but concentrate on the bugs mentioned by users in the release topics.
As ACryan releases firmwares for more then one player,
it is hard to find a good place to put this topic in,
i do agree however to make it a sticky,
but i prefer to keep it in this subforum.
if it is a sticky it would not matter anyway,
it can be found by anyone.
but lets make it clear this is not a bugreport topic,
bugs should still be reported in the corresponding release topic of that firmware for the player at hand.
i will discuss with the other moderators if we can make it a sticky,
if so it will be done, if not so be it
but for any comment about the development of the firmware,
do place them here (of course in a mature manner
)
if the comment is supposed to report a bug do it in the release topic as said.
it will give the development team,
an easier to read firmwre release topic in which they can see which bugs are still at hand,
instead of reading all kinds of posts about how well or how bad the development is going,
which is also importand to know,
as customers are certainly very importand as is their comments,
so this thread is also being readed by acryan staff as well,
it is most certainly not for hiding away these comments please do understand,
that we are a very open community,
and all reactions are welcome, the good and the bad (but again in a mature manner written)
