Scheduling a recording via the web interface still doesn't work.
E.g. set a recording for 2010/11/01, this shows up with date 190/01 in both web and player schedules, and past experience has demonstrated that the recording will not take place on 11/01 as requested.
Using Firefox 3.6.11 on Ubuntu 10.04, en_GB locale.


Also, +1 on those requests by Hotkalle and d100.

More bugs: sometimes, after the screen saver has started while the current (NFS-based, xvid) file has been paused, I press play to continue and the movie plays but I still see the screen saver logo floating in the black-bars that the player has placed top and bottom of the movie.

EPG: I often have to switch backwards and forwards to different days to get the correct day's EPG to display. (UK Freeview)

Playback of digital recordings: doesn't automatically zoom to fill like it used to, black bars all around. Have to go through a number of zoom key presses to get to where I can fill the screen properly without losing any of the picture detail. Annoying.

Recording names: want the ability to fix recording names at schedule-time, or have it pick the name from the EPG sometime later in the recording than the start, in order to get the correct name for the recording. Has this one been accepted?

Looking forward to dual tuner recording and power-saving measures in future releases.

I have noticed a bug while recording a DVB-T program. The Playon! DVR HD (r4090) crashes if I switch channels in the EPG while recording! The Playon then restarts...unfortunately, due to that problem i have lost some films.

didn't try this update but want to tell you some wishes:

1. Same big wish like user "Hares" in Post #8:
Programmed program in the EPG and the final time will be automatically extended for a defined XYZ minutes approx.
XYZ those minutes would set in
Setup / Record / extended time recording, where the ability to set 0,5,10,15,20,25,30 minutes. Cant be a big Problem:!:

2. EPG overview of maybe 10 channels with name of current broadcast and progress Timeline/Timebar.
So you can see whats on TV now. Works with every unit i know till now. Very uncomfortable at POHD.

3. EPG Timer Records always change the recorded Filename in the broadcast, that was redordet at starttime.
Very uncomfortable, you have to rename nearly EVERY Recordet file corect. Why is the Timer looking again at EPG? Reason and therefore Name of file is clearly given by Programming!!

There's another issue:
You have to wait until the Playon has connected to USB HDD, Wifi and so on at startup. You are not able to use it until this procedure is finished. If you just want to watch TV that is very annoying!

That cannot be changed because it has to be intialized.

Ty for the fix, but now it seems you cannot select the USB DVD drive in the copy menu, you can still view it via the browser menu, but this is no option to select it for file transfers.

Had to revert back to r.3582 so I could copy files for my external DVD drive to my internal HDD.
