No audio for all movies and mp3.
output via spdif (optical) is ok but won't work for me because of my receiver.
for audio and video I need to use HDMI or video out and SPDIF. I can not combine video over HDMI with audio over SPDIF.

'switching' between SPDIF and HDMI doesn't help.

It's a known issue. Turn the setting for SPDIF to Stereo/Downmix and change it to Passthrough if you want to listen to surround...

That bug was part of the audio bug but for your comfort i added it to the buglist

It's not in the bug list because whatever bugs mentioned in previous FW3582 still stands. This 4090 release is not supposed to fix all the problems brought up in 3582.

Whatever bugs mentioned in 3582 but not fixed here, is understood to be still pending to be fixed.

Btw below is part of the Notes found on the first page of this thread :-

However, remaining off topic... ish. This firmware release is an interim release. Is there any news on when a more stable\better release is due?

I am actually using this release and, for the most part it appears to be okay. As mentioned in other posts, is there a possibility of releasing a firmware that does not use YAMJ or any other "frills"? It was done a while ago but now we have all-in-one firmware. All I need is a player that plays movies, music and photo's. Mainly movies though. I don't need anything fancy.

Please add this to the r4090 buglist (every other release is OK):

Turning on or off displaying the subtitle via the remote controller is for only the current file. In previous versions the setting remained in the whole session, the device remembered the settings. So, if I watch series I need to turn on the subtitles for every file. I know, there is a setup option, but my wife watches movies without subtitle, so I don't want to turn on by default. It worked well in previous firmware versions.
