Only thing you can do for now, is remove the jpg's, or try to alter them (resize or whatever) this might (and i said might) work.

If you don't want to delete or alter them, store them in a temporary folder in the movie folder till the FW is fixed.

    01. First perform safe-mode reflash using r3875 firmware for Playon!HD Mini (PV73200).

      How to Safe-Mode Reflash
      a. Extract the content from the downloaded zip file and place it on the top / root directory of your thumbdrive.
      b. Switch off main power to your unit.
      c. Plug in your thumbdrive to USB port of your unit.
      d. Press and hold onto the front power button on the front panel.
      e. Switch on main power to your unit.
      f. Release the power button when the firmware update starts flashing on your display and in a moment, it will automatically reboot when the update is completed.

    02. If you're able to revert back to r3875 firmware without any issues, proceed to update your unit to r3582 using System Upgrade.

      How to System Upgrade
      a. Extract the content from the downloaded zip file and place it on the top / root directory of your thumbdrive.
      b. Plug in your thumbdrive to USB port of your unit.
      c. Proceed to Setup | System | System Update and select System Upgrade.
      d. The firmware update should start flashing on your display and in a moment, it will automatically reboot when the update is completed.

    03. Once successfully updated your unit to r3852, then proceed to update to r4090 using System Upgrade.

r4090 requires a base firmware r3582.

Do not safe-mode reflash or system update directly from older SDK firmware to r4090. You might encounter unknown hardware error, firmware not working message. Should this happens, try to safe-mode reflash back to lower firmware such as r3875 or r4312. Then try system upgrade back to r3582 before updating to r4090.

Thank you junwei !

I followed your instructions to the letter.
Unfortunately it didn't work for me.

After a successfully safe-mode reflash (r3875) and a system-update (r4090).

The first time the mini work but after a full power down (I removed the power cord) and poweron (power cord is than present)

I get the same results.
Any help is greately appreciated !

Best regards,

Silat.

reflash to r3875,
then use system menu>>system>>system upgrade to flash to R3582,
now you are ready to flash to r4090 by system menu>>system>>system upgrade again.

;)
