same torrent issue on this side. Added the torrent using the TV interface and that worked for me. have it set up to run 3 dls at the same time to see if it still crahes after a while like it did with previous releases. Hopefully this will be resolved with the next release. First impression is oke, looks a bit faster but missing the aspect control.

When I press the "menu" button, I see a menu created by AC Ryan. Like the update log says: "Add menu for selecting Audio/Subtitle/Title/Chapter/DVD Menu".
But I wanted to see just the DVD menu. In previous releases this was OK. Will this be fixed again?

After all these firmware "updates" I really have the impression that AC Ryan thinks its customers are geeks or unpaid AC Ryan volunteers. If you provide a new firmware, I expect it to work. The numerous mistakes make an embarassing impression. It's really not professional and my next player will definitely not be an AC Ryan. I'm looking for a device which works and is not manufactured by semi professionals. With all due respect, I'm glad AC Ryan doesn't sell cars.

if you select in the menu the dvd-menu option you will have the dvd menu ;)

for the rest of your comments :
stay on topic we have a different topic for these kinds of comments.
we already warned for these kinds of comment in the release topic,
so here is that link again,
viewtopic.php?f=25&t=8627&start=0

keep comments about development of the fw`s in that topic and not here,
if in this topic there are only comments about the bugs with this FW it is easier to isolate them,
placing theze kinds of comments does not make it easier to solve the issues,
please keep that in mind,
thanks for understanding.

note: again any reaction to this post is unessary and will be deleted,
further all posts and reply`s from now on which do not concern bugs about
this firmware , that are placed in this topic will be deleted without further notice.

;)

Another DvD-Menu issue found:

When you popup the DvD-menu, select downwards (blue arrow down) for instance to change Audio or Subtitles, then you go to the right thru the menu (blue arrow right), you end at the DvD Menu option ('homepage' of your DvD).

What will happen is that you directly go to your DvD Menu, even before you entered the option...
That was not the intention, because you want to 'scroll' horizontally through the Menu.
(this is a bit annoying...).

Technically spoken, the problem is, that the DvD Menu option has no sub-menu (if you know what I mean...), so it directly enters the only option there is: the DvD-menu...

I hope I can answer my own question here in this topic...
(I think it fits, because it helps people using the r4090...).

I found the way to add Torrents without the Web-interface, but with the 'classic' POHD menu on your TV-screen.
It's a kind of 'undocumented feature':
- Use the Browser option in your POHD-Menu
- Browse to your Torrent-file (I even succeeded browsing through the (WORKGROUP-)Network!)
- Put 'your cursor' on the to be added Torrrent-file
- Choose the 'Menu-Button' on your Remote Controle
- a Popup-Menu appears (!), where you can choose for changing the name, delete it or.... add the Torrent-file !

Now, the torrent-file is 'suddenly' in your 'BT Download list'. But it still cannot be monitored through the Webinterface.

YoeHoe !
I'm happy !
I hope I can make other people happy too and keep using/testing r4090!
(although it's a bit cumbersome...)

BitTorrent works in all versions if you limit the number of peers at no more 35 peers and the max download/upload speed at 4000KB (I use 2000).

I'm bored to request to implement that option in player interface. Now with the squash file system we can't edit the start script of BT and that result with in an nonfunctional torrent client.

So I request again to implement or to make in some way possible to setting those values, if NOT the BT will be nonfunctional.

Updated my Playon yesterday, found no serious bugs so far.

The only thing I noticed was, if you play music and you select a song, the POHD displays the info about the song. But when the POHD automatically plays the next song(s) it still displays the info from the first selected song.

I hoped that file transfer would be quicker when transferring with ftp, but I'm still stuck at an avarage of 2,12MB/s so it takes a long time to transfer HD movies from an average size of 8 gig.
