Safe-mode flashing procedure (Recommended)
1. Copy install.img to the root directory of a USB flash drive and connect it to any USB host port of the unit
2. Switch off the main power to the unit
3. Press and hold on to the power button on the front panel of the unit
4. Switch on the main power
5. Release the power button when the firmware update starts flashing on your display in a moment and will automatically reboot when update is completed
**Do not power off the unit during the flashing process!**

Can always downgrade from 3582 to Beta 4318. Just use the Setup 'upgrade' option to downgrade to 4318.

But if you have a lot of BD ISO , then 4318 is not for you. If they can just fix the stuttering and sound loss BD ISO problems , then I would have been satisfied with sticking with 4318 and not upgrade anymore

Main problem is that they show a lot of functions,but in the reality that isn't true. Because of this bugs they won't work. When PlayonHD should be a mainboard ,it will die in 2 weeks.

I just wanted to say, i did buy an 2nd hand xtreamer (hold on moderators, don't just ban me yet :-p ) and I can assure things aren't perfect too. Interlaced mpeg plays not very smooth ... POHD plays smooth but only the first couple of minutes, as mentioned in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=42&t=7888

so kraakie, and other moderators, although you don't like to see users talking about other brands, it's not always negative when users are comparing it to the pohd.

True, xtreamer's got internet services like youtube. acryan is missing this... and frankly i don't give much about this feature.
I'm keeping both players for the moment.

Finally I'd like to say the sdk 3 is promising and the success of this player will lies in it's firmware quality...
So keep up the good work, learn from feedback, and POHD will be just fine.
As long as there are regular firmware updates, there is hope. Some major companies just stop supporting their products, leaving you with a 2009 dated firmware; I'd hate to see this happen

Hi folks

Tried updating to latest firmware r3852.

Followed instructions to the T, went via menu to select upgrade. The system rebooted and came with this error message:

This update will only work on ACRyan PlayOn!HD

The system hung and will not boot to menu.

I had about two months ago upgraded firmware to v7.06r2901. Had no problems.

Don't tell me to bring to your centre to reflash, please.

Could it be you used the wrong FW. I noticed all FW for the other models Mini,Big and DVR have the same FW numbers.
