Loaded this firmware for 2 weeks. I cannot see any improvement except change of background, easy configuration for WiFi. The rest still the same. I have a few mkv in 720HD played without video but sound only.
RSS still sucks as the preset links are invalid. The weather forecast is unusable as no documentation.
Lack of responsiveness. Subtitles always off even you turn it on.
It's time to move on to HTPC like ASROCKwhich is more versatile.

I am so glad I sold my Playon HD, I am very sorry to say this. One year ago I bought it and I have been a huge fan for months, but then you find out there is no real development of firmware because of lack of resources. When I read the reactions on this firmware, is exactly the same as half a year ago! All the good advices users give, almost nothing changes. Every beta is a complete surprise, good and bad.

People like VIOM, a pain in the *ss for AC Ryan, but most of the things he mentioned were right... got banned. Draw your conclusions.

VIOM was banned for beeing disrespectful against staff and mods wich is a violation of the rules
After serveral warnings he got banned.

Ok, I understand that. But he got frustrated by the lack of change, I guess. He should not insult people off course.

I wish you people all the best and truly hopy the AC-Ryan staff one day will actually release a stable firmware where all of the promised features will work and bugs will be fixed.

But for me, i got tired of waiting and sold my PlayOn!HD and bought an Xtreamer Pro. And I must say, what a relief, everything works like a charm, it's much faster and it has a working movie jukebox with a great GUI right out of the box. And the best feature of all, a fully working web interface where you can alter all the movie details in the movie jukebox...sweeeeeeet

this prolly has been asked before, but since thread is already so long i hope its ok to ask again. is there an easy way to downgrade the firmware since the betas all worked perfectly for me and this one keeps crashing due to "thumbgen bug".

if anyone could explain in a few sentences or gimme a link i would very much appreciate it, thx
