To ACRyan

I think the biggest error made here is that you have claimed this firmware as OFFICIAL

IMO, if you had released it as a BETA, you would have less complaints and more understanding...

Hope it all gets fixed soon - I love my Mini, and use it everyday!!

hello,

OVERVIEW WITH IMAGE

What I wanted to write for the third 3 question is, if technically had the developer add the 'option open as you click on the subtitle remote (it will be a plus to have the choice to add the subtitle file with a different name for example: film doom VF_VO.mkv ______film doom VOSTFR.SRT_sub_etc) in the next beta or official firmware (can not said it's not possible, developers who write and create innovations in the firmware.

(4) 4th little problem.
1: Add the orange and blue in the GUI.
2: the dark and transparent rectangle should bring a change in color that shows the choice we made.

Hi,
Good day to you.

Third question.

The subtitle option is control by Realtek chipset. They don't provide any SDK about this part, it meant that not allow us to modify.

I don't think that any other brand media player can provide this subtitle option.

4th little problem.
1: Add the orange and blue in the GUI.
2: the dark and transparent rectangle should bring a change in color that shows the choice we made.

will forward this to the development team.

Thank you for your suggestion.

Warmest Regards,

Technical Support Team

AC Ryan Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd.

Q1: I bought a Playon! HD mini (PV73200P+) a few days ago and installed the v7.3.6 r3582_European firmware. I've also started organizing my videos using thumbGen 1.1.3, but after browsing through a few movie sheets at full screen, horizontal artifacts starts to appear across some of the sheets and then after browsing a few more sheets, the screen goes black! This happens every time I browse through my movie sheets at full screen and I have to restart the box to use it again! What's up with that?

I have exactly the same problem.

You should try the r4312 beta, I use thumbgen and have no problems with it.

I use the POHD mini a lot for watching photos and unfortunately this goes wrong with the new firmware. The photos sometimes show horizontal lines of about 50px high on the screen, and after several photos the box completely freezes.

Back to the old (last official before this one) firmware and everything worked fine, a few of the photos did show an error with decoding (progressive saved in PS apparently), but the box kept on going and just went on with the next photo. Haven't tried the new firmware again after fixing those images, but with the new firmware also photos which were saved right and worked perfect on the old firmware sometimes gave horizontal lines or caused the box to freeze.

I don't mind the box not accepting JPEGS which are saved progressive, would never save them like that on purpose, but the new firmware actually allows the box to freeze where the old one would keep on going with the slideshow. I'm using the box a lot for long slideshows, also with other peoples images so the degradation in the photo-viewer is a reason for me not to use this firmware. Which is a shame because as a Mac user I really like the HFS+ support..

Hope you can fix the image viewer in the next update!

After the update the video screen size option in the setup is gone !

This results in that the video's are nog full screen anymore !
Using the zoom butten i can set the screen to 100% x 100%, but after powerdown the settings are gone......

BTW, some postivie feedback with respect to this firmware : the readability of the white subtitles has been greatly improved!

So, not everything about this firmware is bad. 8-)

Some things I noticed though (besides what I and others already mentioned):
- when viewing a 4:3 DVD, after you zoom in you cannot navigate the DVD menu, as the <> buttons are now assigned to zooming in/out.
- occasionally a strange green/blue line appears on the top of the screen during playback.
- the first second or so of audio is lost when starting playback, and this also happens when resuming/skipping playback.

Just a question regarding the 4312 firmware: does that also include the ThumbGen function ? I really like that one.
