How to Update Firmware

1. Please download the firmware from the below mentioned URL(s).
2. Unzip the zipped file, and extract the install.img file to the root/top directory of your USB pendrive.
3. Plug your USB pendrive to PV73200 USB Host Port.
4. Use System Upgrade under Setup | System | System Update to initialize update.
5. In certain case, the system will reboot twice. The mechanism works in this way if you're encountered this:

a. PV73200 will read the install.img from your USB pendrive, the system will first update the system files and you will be prompted a message stating that will restart and continue updating.
b. Set will reboot and will read the install.img from your USB pendrive, system will start updating the firmware into ROM. Once done, set will reboot again.
c. Set will boot back into main menu and you're done.

So please be patient when the first reboot takes place
d. Should you encounter that NAS mode option unable to turn on, please perform system update again.

Usage
a. Place folder.jpg and 0001.jpg in a folder containing the video
b. At child folder level, folder.jpg is automatically displayed in the preview window
c. Press SLOW button on the remote control to zoom in 0001.jpg
d. Press UP/DOWN button on the remote control to display other 0001.jpg images stored in other folders
e. Press ENTER button on the remote control to play the video

- Key in default password 0000 to turn feature On/Off
- Change current password at Setup - Misc - Password

a. Go to your desired folder to lock, press MENU button on the remote control, select LOCK and key in password. Folder will be locked and prompt for password when accessed
b. To unlock, go to the locked folder and press MENU button on the remote control, select UNLOCK and key in password. Folder will be unlocked

What's wrong ?

Whole the layout !!!
Audio output to choose.
Can not turn off hdmi audio output to tv!!!

No sound when playing mp3 !!!.

I just whent back to 4312 wich works fine for me.

I forgot to mention this:

If the first time you upgrade from beta firmware to this new firmware r3582, the first installation of the firmware is successful, you need to flash the firmware second time again.

Try it and let me know again.

2 flash at one go and let me know if it works or not.

Yes , i have to do it twice and then it was succesfull but i like fw 4312 most.

i am very disappointed that it is so difficult for the ac ryan technicy to put the audio info by the audio info
instead the audio info to the video info and the video info by the audio info.

It is just a small issue but does it take so much work to fix this ?

For the average mini user I dont see many improvements as suggested in the forums. I havent installed the this firmware yet but for example I dont see anything about:

- Copying large files over lan makes the mini crash
- Being able to create shortcuts to shared network folders
- Webcontrol for playing audio so you wont need the tv screen to see what you are doing
- Torrent client so the pc can stay off
- Metafeeds or simular. Can we add our own feeds
- No red light when the mini is off
- Scanning a plugged in HD for new content makes the mini crash
- Being able to mark a movie as 'viewed'
- New firmware announcement on the mini. The average user doesnt check this forum daily
- Creating audio playlists or randomly play al music content

Nice, but without webcontrol I have to turn on my tv for it so I wont use it very much.

I dont want to sound to negative cause the dev team worked hard to get this firmware up and running but Im just a simple user so I would like the basic functions to work great/easier. The improvements made seem more for the 'geek' users. No offense:).

Lets put it this way. Im the only one in my house that understands the mini. Browsing for networkshares, usb drives, slow button to get some info, its just not that userfriendly.

Feel free to say if Im wrong. As said I havent upgraded yet.

I was waiting for a new firmware and now i can't test it (vacations mode on)

Anyway, good news the new FW but... no news for torrent client... (torrent client will be a big + for me...)

The folder password protection and the new HD audio are nice additions.
