@MuTe, If not mistaken - don't think this new FW SDK3.x will fix the Bluray ISO audio dropping (or microstutter, whichever you call it). Hey, I could be wrong. If proven wrong, then its the 1st time I'm happy when wrong. I've been looking to convert the Bluray ISO rips that I have to MKV format. This is to see whether that will remove the audio dropping and the ability to play the multiple m2ts files properly. Researching the matter revealed some tools ie. MKVtoolnix and MakeMKV. However, haven't taken the plunge yet - very new to MKV formats. Will give you a heads up if MKV proves to be succesful.....

Maybe you can try this first, instead of Bluray ISO's. I have tried the 50GB Avatar ISO, and it stutters like hell, than i copied all the files that are in the iso (including maps) to the PlayON, and now the movie plays fine. It seems the unpacking of such high bitrate files while playing them is just to much for the unit (An ISO is nothing more than a RAR file without compression)

The Bluray ISO problems only started from FW 3875. There is no problem with Bluray BDMV playback. So either just extract the files and folders out from the ISO and play from there or wait for the upcoming FW to see if they fix the problem. There's no reason why this can't be fixed since it was working before. If they can't fix it they must really find more capable staff

Bootloader? I thought they were re-compiling it?
About viewing JPEG's, I encountered the following problem: JPEG's with progressive DCT, much used for wallpapers, downloadable from the internet, are not useable.
About viewing MPEG4 ASP: Any xvid or divx-movie having the tag, GMC (Global Motion Compensation) using 1 or more warp points, can be played, but not without artefacts.

JPG DCT is not supported and divx gmc is also official not supported. it plays but like you said with artefacts. both can sadly not be supported also not in the future due to limiations of hardware/software.

Re: [BETA] PV73100 r4318 firmware **POHD**
How odd that JPEG progressive DCT could not be supported in the future. At this time, the device does manage a one cycle decode of the JPEG itself, which produces a very low quality picture. It would take more clock-cycles and time, to decode the extra code. But is not more complex, than decoding the first 'layer'. since the JPEG-decoder isn't something hardwired/done by a chip, it's the software. And the hardware does allow such mathematic calculations of this kind of complexity. So, is it something that Realtek must support or something that could be done by the development team in the future?

Hmm.....the bootloader does not support DA, DD (older chipsets)? Hope AC Ryan (Eugene and gang) can resolve as I am using the very earliest DA chipset POHD !! Fingers cross.... On advise to extract the BDMV folder directly to file (instead of an ISO) - will try....hope it will resolve my audio dropping...which I reported in the Technical Issues & Support forum. If its resolved, I will celebrate Hope MuTe has a way to extract his BD ISO collection too....

Some good news the bootloader is fixed.
We will do some intensive internal testing.
If the testing is sucessfull we will release it.
So no time indication yet but we will do our best to release it soon.
