 MeshxPanel™ Panels Material....
I'd like to see the MeshxPanel™ panels available in aluminum as well as the steel. Just curious if any1 else has had a need or a want of that too.

I'm looking for just that for my G 2.5 mod. Seems odd to use steel in an aluminum case build. Even polished it just doesn't want to match up.

 Re: MeshxPanel™ Panels Material....
Surely aluminium would be far too flexible/breakable unless the mesh was stupidly thick?

Think of fan openings or optical stealthing. Look at the back of a stock Apple G5 case and look at the fan openings. Good sample.

MeshxPanel HEXX panels are aluminium. http://www1.acryan.com/_alupanel/ACR-XP00618.shtmlAs jhanlon says, they are indeed meant for "design features" not for structure. Especially since they also have large HEXX airholes. We kept the MeshxPanels (classic roundholes) in steel so they are stronger and can be used for structure. When we were expanding the MeshxPanels range, we decided to go with aluminum / HEXX.

Oh well!

 Re: MeshxPanel™ Panels Material....
There's really no need for steel. Even if they had steel MeshX panels,... I would use them. Steel for what we do isn't needed at all. Aluminum is more then enough. You just have to be super creative when using it. Bracing it. A large flat piece is surely going to flop around,... but if you were to brace it with some nice brackets or support beams,... yum. The MeshX aluminum panels are thick as hell in my opinion. About 1/16". The HEXX panel is definitely thinner and shold only be used to cover up holes that aren't to big. But remember,... make a nice looking frame, something thats NOT an eye sore to look at. Then apply the meshX/ HEXX panels. Would look great. I want to use this stuff to make a case one day. I know it can be done.

 Re: MeshxPanel™ Panels Material....
I'm not going to rely on it though. I will definitely think frame or structure first,... then covers.
