"Hello there from Suntec! Anybody ready for a TrueHD experience?
After long await we finally got a first-hand release SDK that we can use to demo TrueHD downmix and passthrough capability.
While our firmware is not ready for public release yet, this will be what to be expected of when it's available.
1073DD(C+) (commonly known as DD+, but DD(C+) is the official word) TrueHD downmix and pass-through
1073DD TrueHD downmix and pass-through core Dolby Digital 5.1 (Need confirmation as the SDK is not finalised at this moment)"
"The new Realtek SDK will allow what I've mentioned earlier for TrueHD playability for the 1073DD(C+) chipset. As for 1073DD, we need further confirmation at the moment as the SDK is still not finalised." Whats the news here ..? all 1073DD can currently do stereo downmix and core pass-through. The announcement is just telling you there is no way (even with the new SDK) that 1073DD is going to get HD-Audio passthrough. You obviously haven't tried a Blu-Ray with TrueHD audio . See if you can get any sound out of that

There may be 1 or 2 other Brands based on the 1073DD that downmix TrueHD to stereo, but we are at AC Ryan forums and talking about AC Ryan POHD product And btw, you said ALL 1073DD can do TrueHD downmix, so have you tried doing that on POHD yet

I merely pointed that, regardless of the current POHD inability of downmix/passthrough HD-Audio, this is not and should not be attributed to the RT SDK.

Re: [BETA] PV73100 r4107 firmware **POHD**
If someone isn't telling the truth, it is a lie, isn't it? So, if someone is telling us about weekly brought out firmwares and it isn't even close to a month, isn't that person lying?
I'm sorry if i'm sounding negative, but... What the hek no. I am not sorry. I am very disappointed. The new (beta) firmwares aren't sufficient, 'cause of the issues that are not being resolved and all of the excuses that it is not the fault of A.C. Ryan, but of Realtek. You are just holding your customers on a leash and it isn't fair. You will lose customers this way. I am very, very hard considering of buying a NMT. It is not because they bring out more firmwares, because they don't. It is because they are resolving issues.

... Last comment from AC Ryan staff is stated June 9th.... So, it's almost been 2 weeks since the last sign of life!! (By Junwei)
Maybe it'd be a good idea for AC Ryan to create an "announcement" section on the frontpage of the site, where they put info like "new beta firmware within 2 weeks" and "new SDK is in" etc..
But hell, they don't even bother to keep their customers informed through the forum.....

We are looking into it." Great info! Applause! And the previous junwei's post dated 31 of May!? VERY community based company!!!

Re: [BETA] PV73100 r4107 firmware **POHD**
The only error I have is that I have to restart my ad hoc wifi connection on the POHD every time it is been turned off. I didn’t have this issue with former firmwares. I got my POHD hooked up with my PC over an ad-hoc wifi connection just to transfer files from my pc to the POHD. Normally I just turn my POHD and then connect from my pc and start transferring. With this firmware I have to go to the settings and press the play button to turn the connection on again before I can actually connect to it with my PC.
Is this a known bug ?
