Misleading info from promoter @ PC Show 2010
I was at the PC Show this afternoon looking out for DVRs and the AC Ryan Playon!DVR HD is one of them...
Unfortunately wasn't showcased in any of the booths...
I approached one of the salesperson at Booth 2108 (Level 6) asking about the DVR...
He replied only the Playon! HD & Playon HD Mini are being sold at the PC Show...
I continued asking about the DVR, whether the new batch has arrived with a newer Realtek chip...
He said yes, it's on sale at retail outlets, not at the PC Show and what's amusing is that he went on to say it's a vertical standing model...
Completely stunned, I attempted to confirm what he said by asking about the model with the horizontal orientation (no model was mentioned but I'm referring to ACR-PV75100 & ACR-PV75120)...
He went on to say those are old models and the new ones are vertical standing...
Well, I'm pretty sure the vertical standing model he was referring to is the old model of the DVR (

Either he's very wrong (and I'm pretty sure he is) or I'm not doing my homework well enough...
Probably it's not right to ask about a product which is not on display...
But in any case, it's always better to admit that he's unsure of the product than to give incorrect information...
