 Re: [BETA] PV73200 r4107 firmware **POHD-MINI**
Thanks for the new firmware - installed without a hitch. Decided to try YAMJ and once I found the link to the AC Ryan packaged version (cant even recall how I found that now) I was all installed in no time. Quite impressed how well YAMJ managed to look up my messy assortment of files and mostly get it right. I had to fiddle a but to get it to tweak some of the filenames to get it to work correctly. Like the new front screen - much better. Just for the record (I know this is work in progress, but anyway) these things would be really good: 1) Increasing the number of files shown when "browsing" the files. 2) It would be great if there was a way of having a shortcut directly to a network folder (not just a server) - this would save quite a few button presses. 3) Would it be possible to get the YAMJ remote folder location remembered as a shortcut? It would be very cool to just press shortcuts/ "my favorite YAMJ" (or whatever) and load the YAMJ menu. Keep up the good work - loving it so far EDIT: - Oh sorry Junwei - your first post said where to get the YAMJ installer!!

Thank you for the new firmware. As like many others, no problem encountered with the update.
I really like the development efforts that AC Ryan put in, making me have no regret buying it. It was a tough choice considering there are many other brands of similar functions out there.
Anyway, two things I wish to highlight: i) I like the new outlook of the Menu screens, however, I find the 'Description Words' like Browser, Setup etc, too small to my liking. On my 42", they already look small, I wonder how it would be for those with smaller screens, and sitting further away. Not everyone remembers what the icons tell. If you could do something about it, that would be great. ii) As what Richard Dower mentioned, I also dislike the huge green icons. They simply remind me of the cheap VCD player I used to have some 10 years ago. I also hope for something of a higher quality.

Uridium wrote: r.e the moviesheet problem some of you guys are having..I wonder if maybe the POHD is sorting files by modification or creation date instead of filename? probably isn't the cause but was just a thought..might be worth changing the mod/create date on some files to test with something like SKtimestamp http://tools.tortoisesvn.net/SKTimeStampAnother possible cause maybe....perhaps the POHD is caching images somewhere internally to increase browsing speed (Have you tried a hard reboot of the POHD rather than just standby on/off? Uridium I don't think that is the case, when I created my thumbnails and moviesheets I did all my movies at the same time, most work fine but a few do not. I have tried the hard reboot as well but it made no difference. Thanks David

I have the folder.jpg problem too. I.E. pressing slow displays folder.jpg instead of 0001.jpg.
I've only generated info for one folder at the moment so will experiment more.

I have the same problem with folder.jpg and the 0001.jpg . It works for some movies but not all. I use the same moviesheet for all folders .
(You're not alone lol)

 Re: [BETA] PV73200 r4107 firmware **POHD-MINI**
Strange as i tested the sheets and folder.jpg from DavidT99 on my mini as well, and the folder.jpg was shown in the preview pane, and the movie sheet "!Collateral_(2004)_480p.jpg" was indeed shown as full screen after pressing the slow button under the "ALL" tab in browser. i even copied it and renamed it to 0001.jpg and that worked as well. so where the problem lies exactly i`m not sure, but maybe some of you are willing to give more info, like did you also used yamj with the same files or tvixie2playonhd. which template was used? did you installed r4107 the manual way or by the settup screen, I btw installed it the manual way which meant i had to press the on/off button for almost 1 minute before the setup-bar started. then i released the button and no sooner. then hoe many movie`s did you all have on the folder, plus where they all in separated subfolders (for each movie one) ? one more question did you use the asian or the european firmware?

 Re: [BETA] PV73200 r4107 firmware **POHD-MINI**
Some help : Hardware : Mini Acryan Firmware 7.0.21 r4107 European + NAS Seagate Blackarmor for the movies. I've tested the two methods for upgrade firmware .
I used only THUMBGEN , NO YAMJ , NO TVIXIE .
The movies are on the blackarmor and each movies are on differents folders . NFS access or SMB access are used for the test .
Example : |Homecinema |-HD MOVIES |--AVATAR |---avatar.mkv |---folder.jpg |---0001.jpg |--TWILIGHT |---folder.jpg |---twilight.mkv |---0001.jpg etc.... Twilight is OK . Avatar Don't .
I've tested with differents templates in thumbgen for the same results.
Hope it helps .

 Re: [BETA] PV73200 r4107 firmware **POHD-MINI**
did you use thumbnail for folder.jpg or the extra thumbnail, just asking as davidt99 used the thumbnail for it and i use the extra thumbnail, however i don`t think that should not be the problem though, you might wanna try this setup once : playonhd dirk.zipunpack it to your profiles folder in thumbgen and see if this works better, do check the language settings for use with your own country though as i set them to englisch all and first remove all 0001.jpg and folder.jpg first. (maybe back them up some where, this setting also creates an nfo file and tgmd file if you like to change the template in the future.

 Re: [BETA] PV73200 r4107 firmware **POHD-MINI**
To recap on the tests that I have done;
I have 134 movies all in individual folders. 113 movies work with Thumbgen as expected, 21 movies do not work as expected. I use the provided PlayonHD profile and the WDTVOrigSTD template (I think that's what it is called)
I have used both Extra thumbnail and Thumbnail, I have named the moviesheet 0001.jpg and !"movie name".jpg, I have used Dirks profile as well as the PlayonHD profile within Thumbgen, I have renamed the movie file and regenerated the images, I have updated both my POHD's both manually and via the update menu, Both my POHD and POHD Mini behave in the same way.
In every case the same movies work correctly and the same movies do not work correctly with Thumbgen.
I think it must have something to do with the movie itself as everything else has been changed.
What is wierd is that Dirk hase tested the images I created for a non working movie on his POHD and they work correctly, go figure!!
I don't think this is a Thumbgen issue, I am pretty sure it is a POHD firmware issue.
David
