 Re: [BETA] PV73100 r4107 firmware **POHD** I forgot to mention that I installed the firmware the safe way - unplug the power, hold in the power button, plug the power in again, wait until picture returns before releasing the button.
I'm sure everybody knows that, but doing it by update in settings leaves something behind as it retains your old settings. I found out the hard way.

I have ONE major issue Junwei, and i read a posting by you saying this "issue" is actually the easiest to fix/impleiment: those damn "play" "pause" "stop" "USB plugged" etc. icons are HORRID!
HUGE green things, terrible....can you not make them more modern looking?, make them smaller and change the color?, make them more "HD" looking?
If this could be in the next beta that would be great, but they really need updating and moderising.....if you can respond on this issue i'd appreciate it, thanks in advance. another way to do this is through "Mikka's" "Infosite" look it up on this forum with the search-function... you will like it, don't have to hack the FW, and it is still advancing...

I don't use YAMJ until it's final, and other features like ThumbGen are waiting until official release. And, I must say, that first screen looks impressing! If rest of screens will look like this, it'll definitely raise device to next quality level!

-The layout is good.
-Movies that wouldn't play are working now!
I only missing 1 option! Could it be possible the YANJ will update without computer?

Equipment: PlayOn Mini to a Sony 46x3000 TV by HDMI; audio: PlayOn SPDif to Denon 2803. The Denon is relatively old (still very good) and doesn't have any HDMI inputs.
PlayOn video settings: 1080p 60Hz and 1080p 24fps Auto. USB HD: Samsung 1TB.
I've just tried a few ISO films in both PAL and NTSC format with no problems. I also tried shutting down and re-booting in SPDif raw, trying to reproduce the problems with HDMI/Magenta/Cyan (in later posts) - no problems here either.
Could some of the problems be caused by routing the HDMI via an AV amp/receiver rather than directly to the TV? Also note that I don't stream anything other than internet radio - everything from the USB HD.
So many variables or maybe I'm just lucky. Wanna buy some lottery numbers? It seems you have a similar setup to me. I have not encountered any problems with HDMI\Magenta\Cyan either. If you are not having any problems at all I would think that, indeed, you are very lucky. New Problem with this firmwareI was just trying something. I have two versions of Avatar - A 10.9GB version and a 20.9GB version. I wanted to see if there was any real difference between the bit rates. There is. The higher bitrate version has more pronounced stuttering. However, the bigger problem was when I finished trying things. I hit the return button to go back through the menu's and the screen went blank for three or four seconds, came back for a second and then went blank again. This was just repeating over and over. I hit the power button to turn it off, which it did. After waiting a few seconds I turned it on again and everything appeared fine again. Except that extra folders, which I had deleted, have now reappeared. I have not come across this problem before. Cheers. A.V.
