Re: [BETA] PV73100 r4107 firmware **POHD**
Junwei....many thanks for this major update!.....first post, been using the mini for a couple of months now and tried all the betas. I can't thank AC Ryan staff enough for their dedication to firmware development!
I have ONE major issue Junwei, and i read a posting by you saying this "issue" is actually the easiest to fix/impleiment: those damn "play" "pause" "stop" "USB plugged" etc. icons are HORRID!
HUGE green things, terrible....can you not make them more modern looking?, make them smaller and change the color?, make them more "HD" looking?
If this could be in the next beta that would be great, but they really need updating and moderising.....if you can respond on this issue i'd appreciate it, thanks in advance.

Sorry, I have to disagree with the rest of your comments. I have the PlayOn Mini and have no problems with .iso files or any of the others you mention. Perhaps it's because they're from the external HDD and not streamed.
Hi Graham. Your comments are interesting. What equipment is your mini connected to (amp, tv, resolution, etc.)? Are you connected via HDMI and does your mini work with HDMI-CEC? I don't want to hijack this thread and maybe it should be in a different section, this being for the firmware releases. I am trying to build up a picture of what works and what doesn't with different equipment. I am thinking that the problems may not all be firmware related and, maybe, inconsistencies between different users are due to firmware conflicting with hardware connected to the Playon. Does that make sense? Anyway, I am hoping that Realtek release a new SDK soon with better coding. Cheers. A.V. I know where you are coming from AV. I have only one major problem which is the Magenta/Cyan/negative colour problems that arise when booting up with audio set to SPDIF. Otherwise I have not seen the other problems mentioned by others and I have suspected for a long time now that a lot may be do to with other hardware/methods of upgrade etc. The pretty stuff is nice but come on Realtek, get the fundamentals sorted very soon now.

Re: [BETA] PV73100 r4107 firmware **POHD**
doesn't anyone have problems with internet radio? This version and the previous 'official' firmwarerelease rendered my internet radio function useless. It always say 'download error'.
Anyone any ideas how to solve this?

One of the best and easiest solutions is making icons semi-transparent. It looks much better! This can be achieved if A.C.Ryan correct minor issue with icons, I wrote about it here - http://www.acryan.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=39843#p39843.

I didn't see any post about: "I just bought a new TV and I have now the ... problem.", but I saw a lot of posts about "I just upgraded to the newest OFFICIAL firmware and now I have the ..... problem." So If it worked with the older firmware it is NOT a hardware problem. If the HDMI/Magenta/Cyan/negative colour problem comes from that the audio is set to SPDIF at startup, then Acryan should make a shutdown and a startup script. If at shutdown the audio is set to SPDIF then change it to something else and save that change somewhere. At startup if the audio should be set to SPDIF then change the setting from something else to SPDIF. This would be a nice workaround and we would not have to wait for the new SDK from Realtek. I think someone could write this code is some minutes. Is it possible?

Re: [BETA] PV73100 r4107 firmware **POHD**
Will try this FW this weekend, only because it solved the bug with YAMJ. I don't play any ISO, and don't use the resume option.
But still waiting for the NEW SDK release from Realtek

Until I get booted off this section - if you're not on the list, you can't come in. Equipment: PlayOn Mini to a Sony 46x3000 TV by HDMI; audio: PlayOn SPDif to Denon 2803. The Denon is relatively old (still very good) and doesn't have any HDMI inputs. PlayOn video settings: 1080p 60Hz and 1080p 24fps Auto. USB HD: Samsung 1TB. I've just tried a few ISO films in both PAL and NTSC format with no problems. I also tried shutting down and re-booting in SPDif raw, trying to reproduce the problems with HDMI/Magenta/Cyan (in later posts) - no problems here either. Could some of the problems be caused by routing the HDMI via an AV amp/receiver rather than directly to the TV? Also note that I don't stream anything other than internet radio - everything from the USB HD. So many variables or maybe I'm just lucky. Wanna buy some lottery numbers?
