Post Re: Any UK users in here Please - Pretty Please :)
Hi Steve

Think i may need the luck on my side.

Having tried the DVR for a week without any DVB-T and only usings AV-IN and playing back my media from a NAS I have lost patience and requested an RMA via email. I didnt think to request a collection but I will if they respond but having emailed them and having that email comfirmed received and read today at 10:32am their time I have not had any contact from them which is poor to say the least. When I was going to cancel my pre-order I had email responses within an hour or two but now it seems a different story.

The lack of future HD is obviously a major deal breaker (even if i could get SD channels which this box wont) but then to find out the hardware is EOL already and an update to be its replacement so quickly has tipped me to getting a refund.

Best of luck keep us informed if you get any response and I will post back if/when I get any reply.

Cozzy

Hi all. I purchased the new Dual Digital Tuner DVR model (with 1TB internal HDD)at the Gadget Show Live at a fantastic price, even though it had to be shipped at a later date as they had run out of stock on the show preview day.

First unit came damaged (looked like the top had been dragged along a rough surface, and had something dropped onto it), and was quickly replaced (great service). However, upon setting up the replacement unit I was very disappointed. The scan did find approx 74 channels, but was missing ITV/Anglia, Channel 4, and Channel 5, even though my TV picks all of those up and is connected to the same new digital aerial. Obviously, as 3-4 mainstream channels are missing, the DVR is of no use to me for recording purposes. This is a shame as it's a smashing looking bit of kit, and it streamed movies from my PC flawlessly via my wireless network.

In the end I decided to get a refund (which didn't turn out to be a full refund as I had requested it be paid via PayPal to speed up the process). I then decided to buy the HD Mini and an external HDD from Scan.co.uk. Movies work great via the external HDD, but streaming is a non-starter with this one, even though they are the same movies that I used with the DVR!
