I don't have DVR, but in POHD there are extra accounts to login (without password): 1) nobody 2) default
Maybe you can try them? If they don't work you can always try to brute-force Telnet.

Here is a solution to your problem you try to login with only a username and then click logon without entering password it allow you to login for sure.

Unfortunately, this is not the solution. Neither default nor nobody nor any username without a password is working. Are we still talking about the PV75120 wich promts for login like "Probits login:"?

According to me first option is go by default means keep blank and than login and next is to use your name as user and password as root try it.Hope it will work.

I wonder if anyone has tried to use a SSH connection instead of a telnet... it might be that the telnet client shipped on the DVR is more restricted in its default setting, but that the SSH deamon is not, just a thought. I dont own a DVR so I cant test it.
